Audio isn’t the best, kind of mushy and weak. The show starts in progress with Jack and Mary talking. Frank Black is to play, but his song is snipped.
Jack seems to have amnesia as he wakes up in a sanitarium. Jack lets on that he really doesn’t have anything wrong with him and Frank Black plays, Nasty Man. It makes it a way into it, but it gets snipped short. The cast talk about what makes them crazy. Anything from nuts to Clark Gable. Hey, I wonder who could be wild for Clark?
Frank Parker has his song snipped, then Jack responds to a fan letter. The play is to be a cowboy skit from out in Arizona. Frank Black plays some travelling music that’s cut and the play begins. It may be a precursor to the later Buck Benny series, but in this one Jack is just a roving cowboy who jokes and sings his way from cattle herd to the bunkhouse. As Coyote Jack cuts loose in town, Mary joins him to ride out after rustlers.
Note: According to George Burns, Jack Benny would sometimes want to get away from it all for peace and quiet. He would check himself into a hospital for a few days. He didn’t have anything wrong, he would just go for relaxation.
