At the indian dance ceremony, and unknown to our heros, cowboys are planning to shoot Jimmy. Jimmy is to be initiated into the Comanche tribe as Laughing squirrel, and clark is to be Man with two sets of Eyes, because of his glasses. The Coyote howls, and without notice, Clark springs into action. The chief is impressed and wants to make Jimmy chief when he dies, since he thinks Jimmy has a charmed life.
With their plan thwarted, the cowboys plan to put Jimmy on a horse that is known to go wild when spurs are used. They had only planned to hurt Jimmy, but now they plan to kill him to turn the indian superstitions against the tribe.
