After weeks of chasing a masked robber, Joe Friday continues his pursuit. Previously, a copycat robber had been caught. Today, interviews continue of witnesses who had been robbed. The story offers few leads, but sheds light on the operation the bandit takes. Joe Friday provides voiceover to tell of further activities of both the police, and the robber.
Months go by, and a year later the bandit still hasn’t been caught. Joe and his partner, Frank Smith are called into the captains office. Frustration levels rise as the robber manages to stay a step ahead of the cops, and out of their reach. After yet another crime, an old man is interviewed, but will this one hold the key for Joe to solve the crime? Things are looking bleak when Joe tells more about the scope of the robberies, then another one is reported.
Finally, the cops are able to move fast, and a gun battle has their robber cornered. In a rare dramatic confrontation, the cops take down their man after a brief exchange of gunshots.
