Since the beginning of time, man has wanted to concquer the elements, control the forces of nature, and more. There’s just one area that has yet to be ruled over, life itself.
A robot crashes through the streets, and is terrorizing the citezens of Metropolis. Is it just mass hysteria, or is the mechanical monster real? Police have yet to find the thing, only a trail of destruction in it’s aftermath. Has someone finally created artificial intelligence?
Clark Kent springs into action, and catches up with the cops in time to come face to face with the robot. This looks like a job for… Superman! The clumsy monster holds the body of a girl as he approaches Superman. How can he do battle with it without injuring the girl? For now the robot gets away, but back at the Daily Planet Perry rages at Clark Kent over the panic in the city.
The hypertensive Perry is only interupted when the girl enters who was in the monsters arms. What does she know? Can she lead them to the robot? Margret has a secret to tell about the mechanical man.
Clark and Perry can’t believe what Margret has told them, but when they let her go they follow her. Margret mysteriously vanishes, and while Perry rants Clark explores to learn what happened. One secret after another are revealed. A secret lab, an old scientist, and a dream to build an Army of mechanical men.
Superman gets his chance to fight the robot, and is soon battling it out to save the day and get help for both Margret and the old scientist.
