Old Jim is a miner with a reputation of being crusty and cantankerous. Down deep though, he is as generous as they come. Elsewhere, a young fellow has big dreams, but the Lone Ranger is suspicious over something going on with him. Is the young guy involved with something bad? Is he being taken advantage of? What does the Lone Ranger know about the matter?
The boy is just trying to earn a meager living for himself and his mom. The Lone Ranger has a plan that could end up helping both old Jim, and the boy.
The kids dreams are shattered when he learns his hard work in his mine have produced nothing but fools gold. Can it be so worthless when bandits prowl around looking to steal it? Danger and gunplay await our young hero, but the Lone Ranger stays close by to make sure things won’t get out of hand.
