Late at night at the JJ Titus Loan Company, men are gathered to blow the safe. The worried man is an employee who has helped the thugs pull off the job. Things get complicated when a secretary walks in to witness the crime. Gangsters don’t like complications, and murder enters the picture.
The inside man, Reicher, lives long enough to tell his story to a police recording machine, but where’s the missing secretary? She was let go with the promise that she won’t talk about the crime. Police can’t get her to talk when they find her.
