Sinister things are developing at the prison. The pending death sentence that is about to be carried out has Lois Lane upset, since it was her story that led to exposing the crime, and putting the wierd, religious cult leater behind bars.
Clark tries to talk sense to her, but what kind of kook is this condemned man? Should Lois be so worried over the ordeal? Superstitions, and emotions have the usually synical, and rational Lois frazzled.
After the events in the death house, the man’s voice comes back to Lois over the radio, and the telephone. Even Clark has heard it, and he goes to investigate the wierd situation. Has a miracle taken place? Has the dead leader of the religious cult risen from his grave?
As Superman tries to battle a ghost, Lois finds herself captured at gunpoint. It’s a supernatural mystery that has it’s answer in the real world, which Clark points out at the end.
PS: The radio dramas of this time period seem to be targeted more toward adult audiences, as the kids of a few years earlier are growing up. Doesn’t Clark’s voice sound deeper than it used to? It’s hard to tell him from Superman.
Also in my archive of shows, this one is mistitled. This and the following show, Case of the Courageous Cobbler, are just switched. I didn’t get the chance to make the name change on the files that will be downloaded, but the page titles on the web site are correct.
