Now let’s see what’s going on down in Pine Ridge. Now that Lum has sold his share of the store to Squire, he continues his plan to travel to england. Today he talks with Squire about his harsh treatment of Abner and making him do all the work. Abner enters and Lum talks about a possible change of travel itenerary.
Lum wants to drive to Europe via the North Pole and Siberia. Will the route save any money or not? It may be technically shorter, and though it’s mostly a land route, Lum still has to cross a few stretches of water on his bicycle.
Since he insists on going that way, Abner wants Lum to post signs to direct customers to the store. Abner gets confused over the purpose of a lighthouse, and showing ships where not to go. There’s more figures of speech to get confused when it comes to fighting fire with fire.
