At the house halfway up the next block Sade arrive home alone after her day of shopping. Rush joins her on his way home after school. They are surprised to find the dor open, and Vic already home.
Further surprises are in store when Vic springs the news about the box that just arrived. Vic is proud to announce that he is to play 1st Coronet in the lodge band. Complete with a band uniform and high quality horn. Vic is to fill in for a fellow lodge member. Though he can’t play a coronet, he just plans to fake it and hold the horn to his mouth while the band plays. Sade doesn’t get the concept of playing air-coroonet.
Rush and Vic try to make sense of reading music. The inspired Vic is tempted to learn to play before the night’s festivities, and he’s full of excuses to help Sade feel less embarrassed over Vic’s moment in the spotlight.
