Postum, does mom seem jittery, tense, or on edge? Try Postum to avoid the affects of caffeine.
In Pine Ridge, nearly all the letters from clients have been from women. To help things along Abner has bought pictures from Grandpap’s photo studio. The pictures of married men have been sent, and the responding letters are beginning to come back.
As Lum and Abner talk about the peaceful Spring day, the storm is about to overtake them. The idyllic scenes that fill the small town are described in great detail. Scenes of picnics, flowers, kids playing, and more. Lum steps aside to check mail as Grandpap needs to talk with Abner privately. Prominent married men have been getting mysterious letters from single women. So far, there’s no harm done, and Abner wants to keep things quiet.
Once the wives of the men find out though, things could explode in a rage of jealousy before too long. Lum has a letter from a gal named Bertie Collins who wants to meet Dick Huddleston. It gets worse when Cedric is on hand to report that Mose Moot’s wife is going to leave him.
Postum, if coffee is keeping you up at night, it’s time to switch to Postum. Skillfully roasted to be rich satisfying and delicious.
PS: I don’t think any amount of Postum will help calm down the jittery nerves of the womenfolk in Pine Ridge today.
