After Arthur was run down by a car in the last episode, we learn that the doctor gives him a clean bill of health. Doc tells about the incident, but Jack still thinks it’s more about a planned murder than superstitious curses. Jack tells Reggie and Doc why he thinks the various mysterious deaths and mishaps might have been orchestrated.
To investigate, the guys go to visit the driver of the car in his jail cell, and try to see what he knows from the night before. Is the drunken man part of a larger scheme? When Evans is gunned down, it only adds to the logic that somebody wants him silenced, and there’s no superstitions involved.
