In the small house halfway up the next block, Sade talks with Rush about what he has been up to since school let out. Among getting onto Rush for bouncing on the davenport, Sade learns of Rushes plans to help tear down a three story building.
Actually he’s going to do the demolition job alone, and for no pay. Why? Just for the honor in it. Rush begins to do some daydreaming about the bragging rights he’ll get by being the only person his family or friends know who can claim to have torn down a three story building single handed. Rush is so proud of his anticipated feat, he wants to keep it a secret so Bluetooth, or Smelly, or anybody won’t try to horn in on his action.
Sade must not be in much of a mood to talk today, since she lets Rush ramble on about his future fame, and even let’s him relax by heading out to watch the fat men play handball down at the YM.
It’s amazing, and yet typical of a teen though. When Sade asks Rush to run a quick errand to pick up a couple pies across town, the aledgely energetic teen can’t work up the energy, but listen in to learn why.
