What has been happening lately in the world of Perry Mason? Who knows. The series is somewhat fragmented, and there are big gaps. It has been a while since the previous story line left off, and will be a bit before another storyline picks back up on a regular basis.
Today though, we find Lt Tragg investigating a murder, and Perry Mason holding a fake seance to trap his superstitious suspect. Perry wants to clear his unconscious client of any wrong doing before she awakens.
Paul Drake has some encouraging information in his briefcase, but is it the thing that will help Perry? Later, and elsewhere in town, Perry’s target gets a shock when he enters his office. It seems that Paul Drake’s dastardly deeds done earlier in the day are serving to give Perry’s suspect the creeps. But the announcer leaves the listener firmly hanging from the cliff when he raises the question of whether Perry’s stunt has softened up the criminal, or driven him into a frenzy of revenge.
