Now let’s see what’s going on down in Pine Ridge. There’s plenty of women to respond to the matrimonial bureau, but a shortage of single men. Even Lum has had a change of heart about being a client of his own company.
Lum has some fancy paper to send out to the clients to show pictures and descriptions of their matches. In the process, Abner gets confused over a figure of speech. More mail comes in, but all the new members are all from women.
What can the guys do to send out more pictures of men? Cedric isn’t falling for letting his picture being used for the bureau, he already has a steady gal. Lum has his feelings hurt when a woman writes to complain about his picture.
Grandpap stops in as Lum and Cedric leave to show off some of his work at his new photographer studio. Abner gets the idea to buy a copy of the pictures so he can send them out to the bureau clients. Trouble is that the pictures are all of married men from town.
