Sade has caused a stir with both Rush and Vic when she has a special chore for them to do. Screaming like panthers, the guys protest at giving up their social life for the afternoon on this hot Summer day just to put on their overalls and go shovel coal.
Rush has to give up his fun afternoon of watching the fat businessmen down at the Y play handball. Vic protests that there’s no pressing need, since the icy winds of Winter are so far away. Sade isn’t hearing any of their excuses. The Donahue’s have left their two tons of coal to Sade, and she wants to get it before Mr Erickson rents the place out in their absence.
Rush is compliant enough, but Vic holds out, and becomes sarcastic over his new chore. It’s all to no avail. Sade won’t bend on her demands. When the phone rings, and the Stembottoms want to play cards, will it be the out that Vic and Rush are looking for? Not a chance.
