Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy joke about the sites in New York City. Band leader, Ray Noble joins the insults as Charlie talks about his toothache. The poor little kid is so terrified that he wants to make his will before going to see the dentists and being put under.
As Charlie frets over his fate, Mortimer Snerd gives Edgar the latest about his big Halloween costume party. The big moment has come and Charlie finds himself in the dentist office.
While under the affects of the ether, Charlie dreams that he has died and gone on. When he meets Fred Allen, complete with tail and horns, Charlie comes to grips with his new place of rest as Fred shows him around. Just when Charlie is getting the big welcome wagon greeting, he comes around in the dentist office where Fred Allen has a parting word for him.
