Audio is a tad slow, but otherwise good. In the little home halfway up the next block, Sade and her friend Dottie Brainfeeble talk. Leeland Richards has been in the doldrums lately. Uncle Fletcher comes on the scene, and Dottie seems to mistake a humorous story about him that has to do with East St Louis.
The laughing Dottie, and her mix up over East St Louis, gets on uncle Fletchers nerves, but Sade’s main concern is that the noise, and laughing will disturb Leeland. The boy is rambunctious when he’s playing with his friends, but in the privacy of home, Leeland is a little melancholy. It has Sade worried for him, but maybe uncle Fletcher can tell a story to cheer up Leeland? He tries, but Dottie’s remarks about East St Louis get uncle Fletcher sidetracked.
A nice round of playing cards might help, or not. Poor old Leland.
