To settle matters for the general population, Abner announces over the party line that the partnership has been dissolved, and to direct movie questions to Lum. He takes the time to announce some store specials.
Abner tells Cedric of his big plans to change things up in the store, and the duties that Cedric will be expected to do. Abner tries to role play with Cedric, to point out the proper way to deal with a customer. Cedric gets a little confused at the efforts when Abner pretends to be the customer.
When they switch roles, and make Cedric the customer, it becomes a game of guess who. Dick Huttleston visits, and puts an end to the fun. Abner tells him about the falling out that he had with Lum.
