Lum and Abner – Abner Hates Being In High Society. 350729. Horlicks: Low cost products are out there, but is cutting on quality worth the pennies saved? Accept no less than the original and genuine.
In Pine Ridge lately, Squire and Lum have been selling silver mine stock, and making plans for country clubs for the exclusive use of the future millionaires, and stock holders. The high society life has bitten the town pretty hard, and just about everybody is going for it whole hog.
Abner and Lum talk and it seems that Dick and Abner are the only ones in town who are still working. The two friends talk about the country clubs and high society. Abner just can’t be convinced at all the importance of the high life.
Abner is a bitte confused over some of Lums terms, and what a club house is. Lum talks about playing bridge. The card language, the arguements, the bidding and all the ins and outs of it.
Then something scandalous happens. Two women are wearing shorts and riding bicycles down the street. Who would do such a thing? It’s Lizabeth and Pearl, Abner’s wife and daughter.
Horlicks: A mom writes in to tell how her baby was unable to nurse, and Horlicks saved the day to help the child grow to be a fine, healthy girl.
