Lum and Abner – Grandpap And Dick Demand Squires Arrest. 350619. Horlicks: Do you have trouble getting to sleep? Are you a light sleeper? Horlicks can help relax you, and aid in getting a good nights rest.
Down in Pine Ridge, Squire has been operating his theater in violation of a fire hazard ordinance. Today Lum is reluctant to issue the warrant on Squire, but Abner argues that the law is the law, and needs to be enforced. The reason Lum is reluctant is that he feels it will come across as a case of personal revenge.
Abner gets a little confused over one of Lum’s sayings about “wasting his breath’ and ‘weighing his words.’ Hmm… what kind of scales could a person use for such things? The confusion grows deeper when Abner is told to watch his words. Abner begins to wonder what happens to words after you say them. Do they pile up somewhere?
Grandpap pops in to divert the conversation, and with Dick Huttleston, they restate their desire to issue that warrant against Squire. Will Lum cave in to their arguement?
Horlicks letter: A woman writes in to tell how her restless night was rescued by a glass of Horlicks, and how others commented on how rested she was the next morning.
