It’s a chancey job. One that makes a man watchful, and a little bit lonely.
Matt Dillon talks with Chester and Doc about a man who is after Chester, and has him laying low in hiding. Who is Magnus Proudfoot, and what kind of hold does he have over Chester?
Magnus is Chesters little brother. He is something of the adventuresome outdoors type, and Chester is afraid he’ll end up being dragged into something. Magnus arives, and gets caught up on things as he talks with Chester and matt. Magnus wants to give it a go at living in a town for a change. Chester is skeptical, but at Matt’s encouraging, does what he can to accomodate his brother.
Magnus turns out to be pretty good at this civilized stuff. He wins at gambling, and he comes across as charming to the ladies. What could go wrong? Why is Chester still so apprehensive? After a night on the town, Magnus proves he’s man enough to handle town life, and he wins Chester over.
Still, town life is just too boring for Magnus, and he decides to move on along after all
