Milton trades insults and ad libs with his announcer, Mr Gallop. Milton salutes radio. He gets interupted by an executive who wants Merle to take the NBC pledge. Which he and the cast do, followed by the NBC song. Milton spoofs a news broadcast. “Ah, there’s good news tonight!” The bit transitions to a commercial. Ray Block plays, Tomorrow. Milton presents, Radio Forum Tonight. Questions are taken from the audience. The salute turns to a brief recognition of radio’s comedy shows. Dick Marley sings a ballad. Mr Gallop announces that NBC will no longer allow crime programs on before prime time, so as not to overly influence kids. Milton reenacts a scene from home, and the trouble he had with his son, Junior, about this very problem. As Milton recovers from the ordeal, Mr Gallop delivers a final commercial.
