Carlton Bricker continues to plug the flashlight giveaway.
Abner continues to pretend his arms are both broken, while Lum tries to sort through the Matrimonial Bureau mail. I think Abner is getting to enjoy his situation with broken arms, and having others do his bidding.
He mentions the possibility of being president of the store when it reopens. Lum doesn’t like that idea at all. On another note, the requests for flashlights have started rolling in. When Lum calls the party line to plug flashlights, he tells of the proposed campaign for their friends to vote for the next president of the Jot ‘Em Down Store when it reopens.
Abner gets a call from Lizabeth that she submitted an insurance claim for his broken arms. Now Abner is worried he may take heat for fraud.
Carlton Bricker reminds listeners of 1935 of the rules for the flashlight promo.
Note: If you feel inspired to do so, drop me a line to comment on the podcast. Please don’t expect a flashlight, as I don’t have any. If you feel inclined to, you can still send in a donation. Maybe a $1 tip for support of the podcast? My snail mail address is posted in the footer of the web site.
