Two down on their luck gamblers have words, but the losing streak continues for Gilbert. A call for a doctor has Watson examining a dead Heinrich. Despite being an apparent suicide, Heinrich’s wife blames the casino and Gilbert for her loss. A puzzling factor is the large sum found in Heinrich’s possession.
