Fibber McGee and Molly – Aunt Sarah’s Picture. ep402, 440502

Aunt Sarah is a wealthy old relative, but Fibber is skeptical of her miserly ways. Financial jokes abound, but Molly wants Fibber to behave, despite the odd gifts he tells of from her. Alice Darling is on hand to tell about a relative. She and the McGee’s get confused over rock formations in caverns. A mad dash for a missing portrait of aunt Sarah leads to the hall closet. Billy Mills plays a swinging dance tune.

As the complaints about aunt Sarah continue, Mr Wellington arrives with a favor for Fibber. What was the problem that Fibber had with the popcorn machine and usher? When Harlowe enters, the room full of brick a brack from aunt Sarah is all he needs to spin into a commercial.

Molly turns the jokes about being a tightwad back onto Fibber. Teeny pops in to reveal her age, and a little about her name. Fibber tries to teach her how to use new words. The Kingsmen sing, Sure Thing.

Trying to hang the picture straight, Beulah is called on to lend an eye. Beulah ducks out when put on the spot about Sarah’s age. Doc Gamble pops in to deliver a telegram. Sarah has had to cancel her trip, but when Doc damages her portrait, Fibber suddenly gets emotional over the old dame.
