Judy Canova – Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day. ep4, 430727

Audio isn’t the best, you might want to skip this one… no pun intended. Ok, well maybe a little. Audio skips a bit, and starts without show opening. Judy tells a warm up joke about women’s bathing suits these days, before going into her opening song, Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day. The audio skipping makes it a little hard to follow, but Judy expects an important letter as she talks with Geranium. Through the skipping audio, Geranium jokes about her love life. What’s the letter about? It has to do with volunteering for important war work. Ken Niles sneaks in a word for the sponsor. Eddie Dean sings, the New San Antonio Rose, with audio skipping all the way.

The skipping clears up just in time for Sylvester to visit to sputter and spray his way through assisting Judy in baking a cake. How did he manage to get stuck in the ice box, and can Judy rescue him? Judy and Ken go to find a blacksmith who can open the locked fridge. The lady blacksmith jokes with Judy about their men troubles.

Will Sylvester be rescued? Will he hang in there before turning into a giant ice cube? At the request of servicemen, Judy sings, No Letter Today.
