One Man’s Family – Book 71, Chapter 11.

Title: The Home Made bread and applesauce Peace Offering.

Cliff and Paul talk about Cliff’s mixed up feelings over his lost 11 years to amnesia. He’s also confused over the situation with his new girlfriend, Roberta Evans. Is he bad medicine to women? Paul advises that it’s OK to move slow. Why doesn’t Paul marry Nicolette? Will Dan double team Paul onto the marriage band wagon?

Nick joins Paul as the rest depart. Then heads in the house to find Margret down in the dumps. She claims to have lost her best friend. She’s not his favorite grand daughter any more. Now she’s jealous of Elizabeth Sharon Ann. The new favorite has a stomach ache from all the candy and treats that grandpa plied onto her.

Claudia tells Nick about how Pa Barber eavesdropped on the girl talk in the pool, and found out all kinds of family secrets. Has the embarrassing gossip made Henry mad? Hazel knows just the favorite treat, with trimmings to butter Henry up. Will the peace offering lift Pa Barbers spirits? Seeing her chance, Margret owns up to her bragging about being her grandpa’s favorite. Will he recognize the ways he has spoiled her? Will they rediscover love again? Will it ever be the same?

Elsewhere, Paul continues reading his book, while Claudia and Nick ask what to do about inviting Ken to the ranch. Can it be done with Pa Barber on hand? Will he agree to have Ken Arthur around? Will he behave for the young man, or will there be a knock down drag out fight?
