Lum and Abner – Cotton Warehouse For A Theater. 350530 (RV021 retro468)

Horlicks: Look for the Horlick name, it’s the sign of quality, and it marks the store where you see it as a quality store.

Previously, Lum and Abner have made arrangements with Dick Huttleston to use his old cotton warehouse. Today they are busy remodeling.

Abner and grandpap talk about the expectations of the new picture sho’s success as they outfit the place. When Lum arrives, Abner shares his idea to save some cash instead of building the new slanted floor for the theater. Lum tries to explain to Abner the reasons why the theater has to be fancy, and have the features he wants to install.

With arrangements made for chairs and the like, Lum needs to get a professional quality projector. The phone rings, and Lum is fortunate to have located a cheap, second hand projector.

Horlicks: Used in hospitals everywhere to nourish weakened bodies back to health. Get it at your local druggist in natural or chocolate flavors.

Bonus Track:
No music today, just Keith sharing some ideas on this story arc, and early possibilities for the podcast in it’s first season.
