In a scuffle in bringing in an outlaw, Matt guns down his man. Now he has to face the jealous and vengeful brothers of the dead gunman. Is he worried? He has faced death threats before, but Kitty isn’t so sure the matter isn’t weighing heavy on Matt. Beaulowe rides to town to foreshadow the predicted onslaugt of vengeful family members.
The situation heats up when 18 men ride of the town, demanding Beaulowe’s freedom. Has this become more of a job than Matt can handle? In the Long Branch, Matt and Doc are interupted by a worried townsman. Will those wild Texans tear the town down? Armed to the teeth Matt and Chester step into the street. Will his words of reason make sense to the Texans?
The Texans have their way, Beaulowe is set free, but their threats on Matt haven’t changed. Kitty provides the first line of intelligence, and Matt is alerted to danger. Will the only language of reason today be the sound of bullets flying? The only ones who end up dead are some of the rowdiesand the man they all made the fuss to save from jail to begin with.
