Whistler – Blind Impulse. 461202

We join a couple having a good time out on the town. Carol is a spoiled rich girl who is being swept off her feet by Steve. But who is Millie, and what is her standing with Steve? She has just went through a divorce all for Steve. Is she a jilted spouce, or a player in a love triangle? At any rate, Steve’s play on marrying Carol for her money are not so sneaky, when he learns that Carol isn’t as innocent as she has been playing him to be.

The marriage goes through, weeks go by, and though Carol only married Steve as a boy toy, she has begun to grow feelings for him. She also learns that her sickly dad, wasting away in a sanitarium has sent word for her to come to him. Her emotions prove that she isn’t as unfeeling for dear ol’ dad as she thought. A twist to the story pops up when dad is healed and quite spry. Now it’s Steve’s turn to be a little upset.

Steve figures it’s time to get out of the marriage, not willing to wait until the old man kicks off. Still, in an attempt to get to know his new son in law better, he arranges a trip to the Grand Canyon. A situation that presents itself for Steve to knock off the old man, and make it appear as an accident. It almost works, but there’s a witness.

Carol is tormented between her rediscovered feelings for her dad, and the deed she saw Steve do, but her hands are tied. As his wife, she can’t testify in court against him. Ah, but the Whistler still has a card up his sleeve. Remember Millie and her divorce? Her secret is out in the open, and it’s going to be the end of Steve.
