Along the way they encounter a French nanny and a baby, then stop in at the lunch counter to be pestered by Frank Nelson. Rochester meets up with Jack to ask if he can borrow the car for a hot date. Later, Don, Dennis, and Phil catch up with Jack and Jack complains about the new Sportsmen quartet, and their performance so far on the show. Will they do better this week? Dennis sings, If You Were the Only Girl in the World.
At the studio, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy talk business with Jack about their appearance on the show tonight. Charlie meets the cast, joking with the guys, and flirting with Mary. Can Jack get Edgar to take the Sportsmen off his hands to use on his own show?
