Warning: audio starts out fair and goes to poor.
Postum, the favorite mealtime drink in millions of homes presents your favorite radio friends. If yu suffer from sleepless nights due to drinking coffee, switch to Postum. It contains no caffeine or stimulants.
Now let’s see what’s happening down in Pine Ridge. Lum has travel plans to go to England to recieve an inheritance. With lawyer fees, cruise ship tickets, and other travelling expenses, Lum’s money is all spent.
Today Lum talks with Squire in the Jot ’em Down store about getting credit for food, but Squire won’t let him have any of either.
When Abner enters, Squire leaves with the warning to not extend any credit to Lum. What about getting a little help from Dick or grandpap? Lum’s figure of speech confuses Abner a little. Try as he might, Lum just can’t make Abner understand the idea of having grandpaps hands tied so he can’t help.
Lum tries to figure how he can do enough work in town until his travel date. I don’t know why Abner just can’t take him in at home for a few days, being friends and all.
Cedric pops in, and the audio gets pretty bad. Abner finally does get the idea to invite Lum over to be his house guest. I guess Abner must have heard a collective of voices screaming through the old radio speaker, and the distance of time as we all thought the same thing.
Postum, enjoy a tall frosty glass of Postum, or as a hot steamy drink. It has no caffeine to cause nervousness or indigestion.
PS: Sorry about a mixup in show titles. I didn’t catch it in time, but this one seems to be switched withthe one with the title about Squire not giving credit, where it’s contents are actually about travel plans. Just the opposite of this one.
