Wild Bill Hickock – Thunder Rapids. ep24, 1951.

As Bill and Jingles meander along the side of a lazy river bank, they spend a few moments in small talk. Finding a good spot, they take a break to do some fishing. Instead they catch a stray Chinaman, and a wounded lumberjack in a canoe. To the surprise of Jingles and Bill, the lumberjack turns out to be a lumberjill.

Time to sit back and enjoy that tasty treat with the sweetening already on them. Eat them in a bowl with milk, or right out of the box. Got enough? Good. Now back to the story.

By now Bill and Jingles have taken the gal to a doctor, and after being treated, she rests as the doc talks to Bill about what he knows of the local area. The girl is back on her feet, and along with the Chinaman she takes our heros to her logging camp. The lumberjill, er lumberjane, shows Bill and Jingles around. Jane has been having trouble getting men to work for her. Ralph seems to have a chip on his shoulder, and is quick to lay blame on big Steve. Is big Steve as bad as his reputation is portrayed?

Bill and Jingles go to see what big Steve has to say about the trouble in the lumber camp. As they approach, Bill and Jingles are shot at, and attacked by a bear, but finally they run into Steve. Rude as he is, he doesn’t seem to be their shooter. Is he involved?

Time for more of those crunchy corn treats. Eat all yu want right out of the box. And that pure aluminum bag keeps them fresher for 10 times longer. And the best part is that kids love Pops, moms love Pops, and pops love Pops. Although I’ll bet my grandpa would disagree, and he was just a plain old pop when these shows were new.

Back with Jane… If Jane can’t get her logs down Thunder Rapids in time she stands to lose her contract. Logging is a little outside Wild Bill’s realm to handle, and when Confusioan the Chinaman reports more shooting, and dynamite explosions, it’s time to spring into action. At the river, the truth comes out about the recent sabotage as the guilty parties all converge.

The mystery may be solved, but the adventure isn’t over until Bill has a wild ride down the rapids, and helps Jane get her herd of little loggies to market. Yippee Kiyo, get along little logboys.
