Little Beaver hangs out with kids on the school playground, and he’s soon on his way to meet up with his pal, Red Ryder. Meanwhile, Red talks with his friends about what they would like for Christmas. How will Red respond to Little Beaver’s request just to have money for his present? On the way to town, Red and Duchess talk about a local family who is out of work. Are they just lazy, or down on their luck.
Buckskin, Red, and Duchess pick out plenty of gifts to lavish on each other, but is it too much in Weary Wilson’s opinion? Has Duchessstruck on Little Beaver’s request for money?
Gunshots are heard as our friends ride. Is it the supply wagon for the general store? Red has his own secrets that he’s holding back, which frustrates Duchess and Buckskin. Will he have to reveal his Christmas surprises to them? More gunshots signal a trap has been sprung in the barn, but is it a crook, or just Little Beaver?
There’s plenty of explaining to do when Weary Wilson and Little Beaver are concerned about the same orphans. Including the less fortunate makes the Christmas festivities all the more joyful. The gang join together to sing carols as the show ends.
