All that seems to be on Lou’s mind is women. He jokes about his dates, but can he swear off of them for ever? Connie Haines makes it difficult for the fat little sugar man. Does she have ulterior motives for wanting a date from Lou? If he sweet talks Mrs Niles, he might pick up a pair of the coveted pair of nylons. The 3 and a half year old Matilda tells about her own boyfriend woes.
Down town, Bud and Lou join the crowd in the department store. Nylons may be scarce, but Lou might pick up a deal on 3 legged pants. Bugs Bunny makes an appearance as an elevator operator. What’s up doc? Mr Feeglebottom is the manager who might help out, after Lou gets past his secretary with the odd accent. There’s only one pair of stockings left, and Lou will have to fight for it along everyone else. It’s a close call, but Lucille Ball is the victor. Can Lou use strategy to get the nylons?
Trying his best to make a good impression on her, Lou goes to her house. Bud does what he can to coach him, but it’s jokes that fly. Lou resorts to winning Lucille’s heart, and a date. Will she fall for a fat boy like him? Will Lou win his date with little ol’ Connie Haines?
