<itunes:summary>Actually, the show is mislabeled. The date may or may not be correct, the actual name of the episode is: The rustlers. Although the show with this date is listed in certain radio logs as one titled as, Flowers for Polly.

Back in the early days of the Old West cattle rustling was a quick way to earn money and build a large herd for an ambitious rancher. It was actually a preferred and acceptable practice until much of the stray cattle had been claimed, and established ranchers didn't like the idea of upstarts rustling their hard won rustled cattle away. Today a rancher has a scheme to do some rustling of his own cattle, and lay blame at the feet of local indian tribes. When Cisco rides the trail, and encounters the ranchers rustling cowboys, Cisco defends his indian pals, and a fist fight is sure to break out.

Needing a more serious distraction, the rancher sets up Cisco to take the fall for a murder. Meanwhile in a cafe, Cisco and Pancho enjoy a meal as they flirt with the lovely waitress. Amazingly the cute little waitress even has a small herd, but has had trouble when rustlers rode off with much of her cows. Cisco has to take a stand with the sheriff in defense of his indian friends, and he pushes for a meeting of the indians, the law, and the rancher. Things get tense, and for now Cisco backs down, but if we know Cisco it's just a plan to buy time and make his own play for justice.

The ever puzzled Pancho marvels at his friends apparent cowardice, but don't worry Cisco lays out his plan to trap the rancher. The shady rancher has his own ideas though, so whose plan will prove to convince the sheriff? It's not looking good when the lawman arrests Cisco and begins hauling our heros off to jail. Can Cisco and Pancho get free? Will they be able to prove to the sheriff who the real rustlers are? The shady rancher and his cowboys are smart enough to worry, but not smart enough to stop rustling.

There's a happy ending when Cisco reports back to the senorita in the cafe. A happy ending, but a mushy one, so be warned little kiddies. Oh Cisco! The Lone Ranger, or Matt Dillon would never fall for getting all mushy with their damsel in distress. (although I'll bet Miss Kitty wouldn't mind much.)</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Out on the range, a couple of bandits, the Neal brothers, talk as one practices using a bullwhip to slice up a cactus. They talk about a man who is after them, the the son of Whitey King, a man they ruthlessly killled. To leave their mark, the bullwhip is used on an innocent passerby who is told to take their message to town. They aren't afraid of any man, and the same will happen to any who come for them.

Cisco and Pancho ride the trail, and are to keep their identity a secret on the upcoming mission. Witey King was said to have been a brave and courageous man, is his son Billy made from the same mold? Let's have a look. Billy is sheriff in his dad's place, and he seems to have been avoiding people lately. When Cisco rides to town, the man who was cut up by the bullwhip staggers into town. What will Billy do when the Neal's come to town as well?

Cisco isn't waiting, and plows into the Neals in a fistfight. It doesn't take long for Cisco's identity to come out, why did he even bother?

The Neals are bullies and force Billie's girlfriend to go to the dance withthem? A dance? It must be a euphimism for something else not mentionable on radio or kids shows.

Cisco's plan to keep his identity secret was related to going undercover for the US marshall, to discretely learn how brave Billy is and to report back to the regional Marshal. Well Cisco, how about it? Stop fighting with the bad guy, and let Billy show his stuff? How else will anybody know how brave the guy is, or isn't.

From what the girlfriends tells Cisco, and word from people on the street, it appears that Billy may not be so courageous. Billy goes after the Neals, but gets struck down. Cisco takes him to safety, and beats up the Neals in a fistfight. It's not that Billy isn't brave, but he was playing the Neals into getting proof beyond doubt that they are guilty of killing his dad. I suspect that the tender voiced sheriff may not be quite as skilled in rough justice, but he still came through when it counted.

In epilog Pancho shows off his artistic ability to Cisco. O Pancho! O Cisco!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A couple of bandits plan a stage coach robbery, and in the process, one tells about his straight laced twin brother. In town, they discover the twin, Ned is there, and plans to become a prospector. When bandit, George, learns that Ned is leaving on the stage to head for the gold mines, George gets the idea to set up Ned to take the fall for his planned crime. Meanwhile, Cisco and Pancho talk about a past experience they had with outlaw, Denver George. It looks like paths are about to converge, but not fast enough. The bandits rob the stage, and shoot the marshall who was onboard.

True to George's plan, his brother Ned is picked up and blamed. Cisco has a feeling that the wrong man was arrested, and tries to convince the sheriff, but nobody believes Cisco. When Cisco talks to the man in jail, he clams up when he hears the name of Denver George, but Cisco cant't figure out wy he would want to be hanged for another man's crime.

Out on the range, George is pleased to know his brother is taking his fall, but is a little rattled to hear that Cisco is poking around. Does George have anything to worry about? Cisco runs his own investigation in secret, since the sheriff isn't doing any.

Ned is broken out of jail, and our heros ride fast as bullets fly close on their heels. Cisco finally gets a confession out of ned, and now it's time to lay a trap for George before he can do anymore harm. The trap is sprung, and a fist fight subdues Denver George. Just in time for the sheriff to arrive with his posse. The identical twins pose a problem to identify, but Cisco has a plan for that as well.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Through their many adventures, Cisco and Pancho have faced many tight spots, but today's challenge may be the closest one yet. As Cisco and Pancho go about their usual happy go lucky way through the range, they're unaware of a gang of bandits who have a special member. The recent addition from California could pass for a twin of Cisco, and he plans to kill a local rancher to steal his land. Guess who's going to take the fall for it?

The sheriff is soon convinced that Cisco is the killer when the rancher's daughter identifies him. It's not looking good with Cisco behind bars and evil Cisco still on the loose. Before the judge, the friend Cisco thought he had on his side betrays him, and it is clear that his only chance is to confront his evil twin in person. Can Cisco pull off a jailbreak? Can he prove to the sheriff and the ranchers daughter that it wasn't him?

Ride along for the action packed ending, and watch out kiddies, there just might be a mushy stuff alert. OK, I'll tell you, Cisco manages to get away smooch free.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>As Bill and Jingles respond to a request for help from a sheriff, they are greeted by a gunman who takes potshots at them. It turns out to be an old guy, and he's not shooting at Bill, but some robbers nicknamedThunder and Lightning. The bandits kidnapped the sheriff, and the old gent is a newspaper man who fills in the details to get Bill and Jingles up to speed.

Can Bill put a stop to the tense situation, and shooting in town? Bill has to talk to the bandits in this hostage situation, but will he have to compromise by letting the outlaws go free to keep the sheriff alive? The bandits aren't any fools, and know that a posse will be hot on their heels.

Stand by for some fast riding, gun shooting action as Bill and Jingles lead their posse right into an ambush. It'll take more than firepower to get out of this mess, so listen in to see what strategy Bill uses to win the day.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>The patern of this children's show is to have an adventure drama, followed bysilliness from Smilin Ed McConnel and his friends. All throughout, commercial breaks for the sponsor are worked in, and promotions for kiddies to pick up one of Smiling Ed's comic books at their local Buster Brown shoe store.

The drama begins when kids are sneaking into Moe's melon field, and creating problems. It's enough to make him mad enough to grab his shot gun and let them have it. And I don't mean by giving it to them as a present. Say it ain't so Moe! Will the sheriff do anything to stop the thieves, and soothe Moes emotions.

Moe decides to get an Army trained, vicious guard dog. Listen in for the night time thriller when the dog goes wild, and tears the prowlers to pieces. Or does he? The kids manage to outsmart old Moe, but you'll want to listen in to see how they do it.

With a lesson taught to Moe, it's time for Smiling Ed to return to sing with his friends. Squeaky the Mouse plays a soft and pretty tune on his music box. Joined by his cowboy buddy, Ed sings, Ragtime Cowboy Joe. Froggie thumps his magic twanger, and appears to toss a wrench into the works as Alkalai Pete, the cowboy tries to tell his story.

The fun's all done, so Ed shares a little about what's in store for next week, and don't forget to go to church and Sunday School tomorrow.

Bonus Track:
None today, Keith talks a little about the show, and Smiling Ed.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>With Lizabeth taking over as the new sheriff, she isn't at home anymore, and Abner is left as her message center. She has been in the newspaper for her work in taking down the bank robbers, and she's busier than ever. Abner is feeling the weight of doing more of the household chores, missing his wife, and a little jealous over her attention in the press.

Lum and Abner read a few highlights from the news article, and it makes Lizabeth seem like an old time Western sheriff. Demands have been made to have her appear on the stage, or even in movies. Might there be some merchandizing or sponsorship opportunities for her future? Abner has doubts if he wants his wife to take part in any of that stuff. A tallent scout stops in to see if he can get the new glamour girl to be in his movie.

Note: Speaking of movies, this story line is leading somewhere. Things will come to a head soon, and the guys will take time off from their radio show to start work on their first movie.</itunes:summary>

Will Lizabeth be able to handle the rough characters if they come her way? Abner needs to go looking for his hunting dog, and Lum thinks it could turn into a chance to find the robbers. That reward is nothing to be sneezed at.

Cedric pops into the store, and joins the expedition. A major production is planned complete with guns and horses. Before they can make their first move, Lizabeth has the robbers caught.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In the way of outlaws anywhere, bandits of the West were always trying to think of ways to outsmart the law. For now a foolproof scheme has been worked by a pair of bandits, stealing expensive goods without the sheriff suspecting a thing. Taking advantage of the weaknesses of the sheriff, they think they can even get away with murder.

Elsewhere, Cisco and Pancho ride up to look for their friend, Cottonwood Brown. Mose and Jack have killed Cottonwood, but feel confident they can push the blame off on Cisco. Unfortunately, Cisco is more alert than the sheriff, and isn't going to sit still while an injustice is being done. The less than brilliant sheriff recruits the bandits to be his deputies to help track down that suspicious stranger in town, Cisco.

Is there anything Cisco can do to convince the sheriff who the real bandits arre? In his dramatic flare for fist fights, Cisco exposes the smugglers, and opens the eyes of the sheriff.</itunes:summary>

There's a rough encounter, then the rider continues to a near by ranch where he puts his gun skills to work to kill the rancher. The rancher is also the sheriff, and he has left his daughter behind. It's looking bad for her, until Cisco and Pancho get word of her troubles.

With Cisco acting in place of the fallen sheriff, and stirring up aggrivations for the gunmen by not falling for their trick, the killers are out to get him. Scisco won't give up with his help to the sheriff's daughter until the last man has been brought to justice. Still, it won't be easy when the hired guns pull out all their dirty tricks.

Get ready for fist fighting, and gun fighting thrills. With the sweet senorita avenged, there's nothing to do but... oh no, , mushy stuff. Hide your eyes and ears kiddies.

Afterward, Pancho and Cisco share a few words about popcorn, and have a good laugh. O Pancho! O Cisco!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>The town of Cactus was like many other Western towns, but progressibve enough to have a woman as the teller at the bank. As she goes about her duties, she overhears a plot to rob the bank. With the sheriff out of town, her only hope is to try to reach the Cisco Kid. Outside town, Cisco relaxes as Pancho plays with the squirrels. Always willing to help a damsel in distress, Cisco rushes to town, but suspects there is more to her distress than just reporting a bank robbery.

Alice Barton races into town with Cisco, and it appears that trap for the robbers goes off well. Cisco recognizes one of the captured banditos, but will the captured man's threats against Alice carry any weight? It looks like a quick and happy end to a bad situation when the sheriff returns to take his prisoner to the penitintiary. Bad guy Hastings makes his break, and then heads to town to get his revenge on Alice.

The audio pauses a bit for the mid commercial break, give it just a bit to pick up again to see how the exciting story ends up.

Cisco knows all the tricks as well, and hasn't strayed far from town. He turns out to be the man on the spot when he finds the sheriff in bad shape on the trail, rides back to protect Alice, but the bad guys are waiting for him. Will their ambush succeed in stopping Cisco? There's sure to be some exciting narrow escapes, fist fighting, and say it ain't so! There may just be some mushy stuff at the end. Getting to the show: It's shortly after dark, and the family tries to decide whether to stay in, or leave for social gatherings. Little do they know, a firebug and his dim witted friend lurks in the shadows.

Elsewhere, Cisco and Pancho ride the trail, and talk about senoritas, and the recent outbreak of fires. Just then the blazes from the most recent fire send up a signal for action, and Cisco joins in with the fire crew to put it out.

When the fire turns out to be a hopeless cause, Cisco helps the sheriff to catch the pyromaniac. The firebug, a prominent citezen in town, convinces the sheriff that Cisco can't be trusted. When the sheriff tries to run Cisco off the next morning, all it does is raise questions for Cisco to investigate.

Cisco is soon to learn that he's not just dealing with a firebug, but a ruthless killer as well. After the trauma of the fire, saner heads rule the day, and Cisco finds a friend with the family whose house burned down. Clues aren't hard to come by, and soon a likely suspect is found by Cisco.

Now it's a matter of setting a trap to catch the firebug in the act. With the bad guy safely tucked away, things get really messy when the mushy stuff kicks in at the end. Cover your eyes and ears kiddies.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Six Shooter - Sheriff Billy Riddle. 531129.

On the way to another ranching job, Brit stops in at a small town. Things seem to be running down, although the jail is in good shape with new improvements. Brit learns of the recent changeover in sheriffs. Young sheriff Billy has shown a lot of self motivation, and has made the new improvements at his own expense.

Sheriff Billy and Brit Poncet enjoy lunch together, and a heart to heart chat. Billy Riddle shares his story, and that he's looking for his long lost father. The hope is that dad and son could have a happy reunion, and start a life together, despite any rifts that may have gone on before. Gunshots break the air as a known outlaw, Ben Reed is spotted.

Brit provides the voiceover commentary to describe the confrontation between Billy and Ben. Both men are determined, cool headed, and not opposed to resorting to gunplay. Tension hangs in the air, but when Billy tells his name, the crusty outlaw drops his gunbelt and goes along peaceably. I'll bet I know why, but the answer awaits right after the commercial.

Brit gives a brief verbal description of life in the small town on a Sunday afternoon, then pops into the jail on an errand. Billy is set for taking his notorious prisoner on the trail for the penitentiary, but Billy admits to Brit what is already known. Ben is Billy's dad, and he can't bring himself to take him in. Then Billy plans to just keep riding, because he couldn't face the town after his shameful action.

There's a plot twist. Despite Billy's reasons for thinking so, Ben adamantly claims that he isn't Billy's dad, and spins a tale of how he found the locket that Billy thinks seals the deal on his identity. The story, though hard for Billy to hear, keeps him on the straight and narrow and he is able to do his job. More plot twists. Brit has some secrets of his own that only the listening audience is privvy to, so I'll keep it under my hat, and let you discover the ending for yourself.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Six Shooter - Gabriel Starbuck. 531122.

In the barber shop a man gets the finishing touches before he turns to doing a tough job, telling old sheriff Starbuck that he's fired. The whole town agrees, but the news won't be easy to break. The tension is broken when Brit arrives for a trim and small talk abounds.

The man in the chair, Alph, sees the chance to pawn off the duty on Brit. Old Gabe is the sheriff, but the town has voted him out. Gabe has done a lot for the town, maybe a deputy will ease his work load? Brit finds himself looking for old Gabe. Gabe looks older than he ought, and his target practice session isn't hitting too many. Can Brit let the man down gently? Can he direct the old sheriff's thought to those of settling down on a ranch?

Though Brit talks long and leisurely, the topic of vacating the sheriff position never seems to come up. Suddenly the alarm sounds that the bank has been robbed. Gabe is sure he saw the robbers heading East, not a logical direction for a get away. The posse mutiny's and rides in their own direction. Brit shares his thoughts as he rides slowly East. Brit notices only one set of hoof prints, but before getting too close, Brit holds back to watch Gabe's strange behavior. Shooting at nothing, and riding fast back to town. Then something else catches Brit's eye. There's something fishy going on, but should Brit tell on the old timer?

In epilog, Brit tells the outcome of Gabe, and the town's decision.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Six Shooter - Ben Scofield. ep7, 531101.

William Conrad narates the scene of the rainy night, and the Wels Fargo office that is being robbed. The man, masked with a bandana leaves with gunshots that kill the clerk. Elsewhere, Brit Ponset picks up the voice over to tell where he's headed, on the trail to take a new job at a ranch. Needing a new horseshoe,he talks with the blacksmith. The little man doesn't seem like he can handle the blacksmith job, but he's heftier than he appears.

Brit is detoured to the sheriffs office when he learns of the recent crime. He does some tracking and notices the westard leading track, and the track of a horse that is missing a shoe and has other distinctive markings on the horseshoes.

Sheriff Scofield, played by William Conrad claims the track peters out just outside of town, and is evasive of Brits questions. Brit talks with the blacksmith about the unusual horseshoe track he found, and learns that the sheriff's son was in, and his horse has shoes as described. Looks like the sheriff has reason to look the other way.

Brit finds out the clerk wasn't killed, but is suffering from a bad chest wound. Will his testimony help in identifying his shooter? Brit holds the sheriff's feet to the fire, and makes him go out on the trail of the horse track.

Signs of blood are found, indicating that the robber was injured as wel. Alone on the trail, Brit confronts the troubled sheriff about his son, Ben. The track leads to a cabin. Sheriff Scofield can't stand the tension, or the pressing reality anymore, and comes clean with what he knows with Brit. Bullets fly as they approach the cabin, but can the injured robber be taken alive?

Though the sheriff can't go through with the confrontation with his own son, Brit offers intense voiceover as he describes the suspenseful scene. As he enters the cabin, the sheriff is shot, the shooter is taken out, but he's not dead. It's also not Ben. Then who is he? What happened to Ben, and why was this stranger on his horse? There's only time remaining to speculate, but Brit and the sheriff are able to figure out a logical explanation.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Wild Bill Hickock - Ghost Town Gold. ep015, 1951.

Guy Madison and Andy Devine bring you another rootin' tootin' western adventure. Wild Bill Hickock and his big sidekick ride into Chocktaw territory. Though Bill tries to assure Jingles that there isn't so much to fear from indians, the sidekick feels uneasy, and that eyes are watching him.

Suddenly, indian drums sound, and a war party rides by on a buffalo hunt. After Bill and Jingles come out of hiding, a couple of hardcases claiming to be the sheriff of Dragoon apprehend our heros. The sheriff they were to meet has been gunned down, and they are being blamed for it.

Commercial time. Take a break and dive into that tasty treat with the sweetening already on them.

Now in Dragoon, and tossed into jail, Jingles demands to know how the sheriff was killed. When Wild Bill is identified, the sheriff agrees to let them out if they leave town. It all sounds fishy to me.

Back in indian territory, Jingles is nervous over the nearby indian drums. An old timer named Goofy approaches camp. He's a miner on his way to King City, and Bill and Jingles go along with him. Has Bill and Jingles been too trusting? Is this a trap? Their horses have disappeared, but they meet a young lady who tells the story of the ghost town they are in. She even tells that the sheriff Bil is looking for, has been there recently. The goofy miner is her dad, and he shows Bill and Jingles the mine. They find a mysterious light, and bags full of money. Then a secret cave passage leads to a hidden valley, and the hardcases they ran across earlier.

It doesn't take them long to get caught, but what happened to the Goofy miner? Bil and Jingles also find themselves held captive along with the sheriff they came to visit. Sheriff Rod tells how his deputy took over, and how the deputy and his gang have been robbing stage coaches, and rustling cattle.

Commercial time. Eat those yummie treats right out of the box for a tasty sweet treat, or as a breakfast cereal with milk. You know why. Because kids love pops, moms love pops, and pops love pops.

Held captive, with the hardcases out looking for a rope, Jingles notices the floor moving. It's Goofy the miner, entering through a secret passage. Always with a stick of dynamite, Bill borrows one from Goofy, and barges in on the hardcases to turn the tables on them. Was his dynamite play just a bluff? What does it matter as long as the bad guys get caught. Bill and Jingles say their goodbyes to Goofy and his daughter.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Cisco Kid - The Feud. 530212.

Cisco is always handy for a worthy cause, no matter if the call is from the weak and defenseless, or is a powerful corporation.

A couple of guys damage the rails as part of a plan to rob a train that's carrying a shipment of gold. Pancho and Cisco ride the train, on their way to Cactus Flats, just the place where the train robbery is to take place. Cisco has been placed on the train as security.

When the train goes through dangerous mountain passes where likely ambushes might occur, the outlook is that the worst is past. Nobody expects trouble near Cactus Flats. The train conductor tells Cisco about a feud between his family and another from back in the hill country of Tennessee.

Meanwhile, the bad guys get ready to flag down the train and do their worst. One of the bad guys, Link, has good enough standing in local parts to convince the sheriff to make him a deputy, and the plans continue. The train stops, and the conductor gets out to check on the trouble. To make it look legitimate, the bandits even call for a stage coach to transfer the gold. It all seems legitimate, and the conductor passes the word of the damaged track, and the bogus telegram to the crew.

Cisco and Pancho do their own investigating. Cisco gets suspicious and heads back to try to keep the gold safe. On the stage, the conductor rides next to Link, who rides with a kerchief over his face, presumably to keep the dust off, but Link knows that the two are from feuding families back East, so what will happen when Link reveals his identity?

Links plan is to take the gold, and set up his family rival to take the blame for it. Can Cisco get to the stage in time to prevent it? Our heros visit the sheriff and though he suspects them, Cisco and Pancho learn all the details they need to do their work. They make a break from the sheriff and hit the trail.

Cisco manages to head off the stage, and is just in time to swoop in and rescue the train conductor. The sheriff rides up and the whole story comes out in the open, and Cisco escorts the gold safely to it's destination.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Wild Bill Hickock - Warpath Or Peace. ep13, 1951.

In the wild Indian Territory, Jingles sings as he and Wild Bill enjoy the landscape. On their way to Red Mesa City, they see a stampede, and a couple of dead buffalo, but where are the hunters? Our heros find themselves surrounded by indians with bows at the ready.

Cheif Red Horse and his men think that Bill killed the buffalo, but all Billcan do is promise to do his best to catch the buffalo killers. The chief lets Bill go, but if the killers can't be caught, it could mean indians on the warpath. Time to go enjoy those tasty treats, and that shiny aluminum bag to keep them fresh.

In Red Mesa City, the sheriff is warned of the encounter with indians. The sheriff doesn't believe it, and want the indians out of the way. The senator is in town, and is willing to talk with Bill to learn the truth.

Out patrolling town, Bill intercepts what appears on the surface to be an indian attack, but indians don't ride horses with freshly shod hooves. At dinner in the bordinghouse, Mrs Mallory tells about believing rumors, and Jingles helps to relate their encounter. Word of an aledged indian attack interupt dinner, which doesn't make Jingles happy. He and Bill ride back into Indian Territory to talk with Cheif Red Horse.

Bill verifies with Red Horse about the rumor of gold that was brought up at dinner. Can the indians help Bill prove the rumors, or make the miners stop? We'll find out after another break with that two gun cereal with the sweetening already on them.

While Bill stays with the indians, Jingles returns to town with a message that the indians have cleared out, and the gold is wide open for the taking. It's just the bait for the trap to get the bad guys out in the open. As Bill and Jingles wait, two riders approach, and it's not the cantankerous sheriff.

Evidence proves that the riders are the ones who had been stirring up trouble, and to find out who they are you'll just have to listen in and figure it out.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Superman - The Silver Clipper, Yellow Mask. 400223.

Events are rapidly reaching a climax as disaster waits. Superman speeds towards the impending doom, but first, he has been delayed by stopping to report to the sheriff as Clark Kent.

Clark also sends his story back to the Daily Planet via telephone. It's big enough to stop the pressses over. Perry wants to hear the rumors about this strange new character on the scene, Superman. Clark blows it off as just active imaginations. Once off the phone though, he changes to Superman, and is on the way to put an end to the plans of the Wolfe.

in dramatic and suspenseful fashion, Superman swoops in and destroys the Wolfe and Keno's plans, and leaves them in bad shape for the sheriff to find. The sheriff gets their confession, but what's this crazy talk about a flying man?

Clark tells where the missing train from previous episodes can be found, and makes his way back home. Perry already has an assignment waiting for him. Just then, an ominous phone call comes in from a man claiming to be the boss of the Wolfe, and warns of new danger. It's the Yellow mask, and he is to blow up the newspaper.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Six Shooter - Jenny Garver. 530920.

On the way into town, Brit finds a man who has been shot, and applies what little medical help that he can. They manage to get to a lone cabin nearby. The resident is Jenny, a tall, large, homeley woman. Though Brit wants to report the incident, and get help, Jenny prefers the news be kept quiet. Why?

She finds true love, but her injured man that she has fallen for is a wanted outlaw. Brit leaves, and on his way finds the sheriff. It doesn't take him much to figure out who the sheriff is looking for. Out of curiosity, and in his own way to keep things under moderation, Brit offers to tag along.

The audio skips a little at the break where a commercial might be, and returns to Brit talking with posse members about how homely Jenny is, and the expected gossip about her. We learn more about her history, and back story.

The posse approaches the house and are greeted with gunshots. With his typical level head, Brit stalls the outright assault on the cabin, afraid of the body count that may come of it. Brit sneaks around, manages to enter the cabin, and tries to talk sense to Jenny. Though he is bad, and mortally wounded, she has fallen for the first man who has shown her a kindness, and is prepared to defend her man to the end. Will it come to that?

Can Brit bring about a diplomatic end? Though justice is done, as it often is in radio shows, the sheriff doesn't quite understand Jenny's emotions, and nobody quite understands the changes that shows in her life after her ordeal. Well... nobody but Brit, and you, the listener.</itunes:summary>

In Pine Ridge, Squire had hoped that Abner would invest his money from the sale of the Jottem Down store into the silver mine. Lately, Abner has been abducted. Today Lum is practicing his singing. Fortunately he is interupted by the phone. It's Lizabeth, and she wants to know if there's any word on Abner. Dick comes in to take over the phone. Apparently he's either with Squire, or Squire knows where Abner is. Where's Squire?

The Jottem Down store is closed up, and nobody around. The two friends recap the events of Abner, and his refusal to buy into the silver mine stock. Lum defends the mine, since he's pretty deep into the investment, but Dick has no place for Squire or his involvements. After more talk about the situation behind the sale of the store, worry sets in that something bad might have been done to Abner. As conclusions are being jumped to, Squire enters, and both Dick and Lum confront him about what he did with Abner.

Squire is awfully confident, even after the threats to bring the sheriff out after him, but when Dick actually gets on the phone to call the cops, Squire begins to worry.

Horlicks: It's easy to digest, doesn't spoil the apetite. Keep a pitcher in the refridgerator for a tasty treat any time.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Six Shooter - Audition. 530900.

Brit Ponset rides into town to have a horse shoe replaced, and he learns about arobbery and shoot up at the bank. He checks out the crime scene and finds clues and tracks. The track leads nowhere, but the blacksmith recognizes the way one of the horses is shod. It belongs to the sheriffs son.

When Brit goes with the sheriff to where the trail is supposed to end, he sees that it doesn't end. The sherif is defensive, and claims his boy was out of town on a round up. Sounds like the sheriff might be in denial, and trying to protect his boy.

They follow a blood trail to a deserted cabin. For the sheriffs sake the plan is to take his son alive. The kid shoots, the sheriff is hit. Brit sees the kid and in a flash decision is forced to shoot him. It's not the sheriff's son, but who is it? Justice is done, and a somewhat of a happy ending can be claimed.

The Sheriff is played by William Conrad.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Dan Goes To Jail. 430405. A fiery horse at the speed of light, and a hearty Heigh-ho Silver! The Lone Ranger rides again! Nowhere in the pages of history can one find a better champion of justice.

The sheriff goes to call on Mrs Purdy to talk to her boy, Joe. The sheriff beats around the bush, but has plenty of circumstantial evidence that Joe robbed a safe, and killed a man. Meanwhile, an evil genius named El Mundo sits in his hideout, talking to his mysterious sister about the Lone Ranger. He shares his plan to take over the Purdy ranch, but it's just the beginning, he has plans to become king. The softspoken mastermind shares his plans for his power and empire.

Meanwhile, the sheriff talks with his deputy over Joe being locked up, and doesn't think he actually is guilty. Lone Ranger comes to talk to him about the recent activities of El Mundo. If El Mundo isn't stopped, he'll own the West. With the help of the Lone Ranger, Joe is broken out of jail, and Dan is left in his place. A plan is in the works, and as the story develops, the plan is vaguely hinted at, but the help of tonight's cast is needed.

El Mundo needs the Purdy ranch, and a trap is set to both clear Joe, and try to capture El Mundo. Is it already too late? Has Myra, the sister to El Mundo, already moved in? Is the Lone Ranger in danger of being poisoned, and falling victim to El Mundo? Dan may be in trouble back at the jail, and the sheriff comes to get the Lone Ranger's help.

Fortunately, Dan has already played a switch on El Mundo, and done his own investigating, and explains the mystery of Joe's false accusation, and how he has been cleared.

Suddenly the forces of El Mundo come racing towards town for a shoot out. The Lone Ranger and Dan make a narrow escape, and El Mundos plans are foiled, for now.

Note: I like the episodes that include Dan Reed with the Lone Ranger and Tonto team. They add an extra element to the heroic adventure. I don't mind the shows that continue from episode to episode, but this El Mundo character, and the recent Tarantulal gang run of shows just seem to push the boundaries of what was real in the days of the old West. Not my favorites, and just wierd.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>When the West was young, adventure and danger awaited at the end of every trail. Justice is always done when the Lone Ranger rides.

A gang of bandits plans to rob the stage coach line, disguised as the masked rider they had recently seen with his indian companion. They plan on having the Lone Ranger take the fall for their misdeeds. Not to be outdone, The Lone Ranger fits the clues together to learn who is really behind the string of robberies, and how they have been so successful at robbing only the coaches that carried gold, and leaving the others alone. Sounds like an inside job to me.

The stage coach company has sent their own detective, and if Jake the stage manager, rancher, and newspaper editor was doing it nobody has figured it out yet. With the sheriff and posse on the heels of the Lone Ranger, he has his work cut out for him to investigate, and keep his freedom. Our hero and Tonto are just nosy, and sneaky enough to be in the right places at the right time. The secret is out, and a trap is set. Can you figure out this mystery? Who is doing it? How? And what is the trap that has been set?

When Jake disappears the Sheriff is even more certain the masked man must be stopped. He fears the worst, but when the Lone Ranger rides off across the prairie... . Well, just ride along on this mysterious adventure and be enlightened.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>No man has ever done more to bring justice to the Great Plains of the West than the Masked Rider. Gold brought booming business to Carson City, as well as plenty of hardcases, and the Lone Ranger.

The bank is robbed, and the banker murdered. An eye witness claims that it was Pete Lorenzo, an outlaw who has given every lawman the slip as he plagues the West with crime. As the sheriff leads the posse on his trail, the Lone Ranger is doubtful. He and Tonto set out after Pete on their own. Lorenzo is supposed to be such a slippery character that not many people have seen him and lived. The posse comes up on a man that the witness points out as Pete. The man claims to be hunting for Lorenzo himself. Personally, I don't trust that witness.

The sheriff isn't taking any chances with this guy, but will he be hanging the wrong man? Where did the Lone Ranger get off to? Will he be able to find the real Pete Lorenzo before an innocent man is doomed? The Lone Ranger lurks nearby, biding his time and waiting for the real Pete Lorenzo to show his hand. Have you solved the mystery? How does the Lone Ranger manage to set a trap that Lorenzo can't get out of?</itunes:summary>
