<itunes:summary>Sam is a bush pilot who returns home to be with his true love, Hellen. He soon realizes that she is in love with another. After a confrontation with her, Sam lets Hellen know that he won't give her up, even if he has to kill to do it.

Tension mounts for Sam as his world falls apart. Outwardly he acts civil to Jeff, but his heavy drinking begins to reveal his inner turmoil.

The drunken Sam finds himself the near victim of a murder attempt. He hides out as he makes an anonymous report to the cops of his death. Then he waits to see the trouble his wife, and her lover will be in. The case isn't moving fast enough, so Sam plants incriminating clues for the cops to find. Will Sam be satisfied to know his wife and her lover are soon to face murder charges?

Suddenly, Sam learns a truth that happened on that drunken night that changes everything. Can he race to stop the injustice about to be done to his wife? Did Hellen actually try to kill Sam? A witness could clear up the whole matter once and for all, but will he come forward?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A matter of disfunctional marital bliss ends up with a distraught husband poisoning himself. The uncaring wife coldly watches on to let him go through with it, not intervening, or going for help until she watches him collapse to the floor. Is it what it seems, or has some cruel trick been played?

Gerald gloats at his prank on his wife, rubbing it in her face about being insensitive to him, and wanting him dead. Lydia has another concern. What happened to the half bottle of poison that is now missing? Should she have anything to worry about, or is there more afoot to the murderous joke? Murderous thoughts plague Lydia as Gerald practically invites her to kill him.

Has Lydia fallen prey to another of Gerald's jokes, or does she have a card of her own up her sleeve? Is he poisoned for real this time? Will Lydia be free to run away with Geralds money, and enjoy a life with her lover?

The Whistler has a special twist ending awaiting to point out an overlooked flaw in the plan. Justice will be done, but will Lydia be off the hook, or will she face the law as a last joke on her from Gerald?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>When a convoy of trucks carrying vital cargo meets with an accident, Britt Reed's star girl reporter manages to get a close up look when other reportersare blocked. Gayle brings word that the cops are trying to cover up the fact that it was no accident, but the result of sabotage. What kind of dirt can Britt Reed dig up? What is it that has Britt being short tempered with his newspaper staff?

A letter to the editor comes in, making the claim that they know who the Green Hornet is. Has someone finally dug up the dirt on the Hornet after all these years? Going to face down his accusers, will the Green Hornet be blackmailed by them instead of the other way around for a change? Will he be framed for murder? As if he hasn't already been the fall guy for several, when it's benefivcial to hand the real bad guys over.

Just what is the evidence the crooks have on the Green Hornet to identify him? The Hornet manages to take the matter into his own hands, since the cops sure won't do it, and foil the bad guys.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>The Lone Ranger and Tonto are still riding through the Tomahawk Basin when Ben Steel confronts them in their camp. Ben is the former leader of the now disbanded Black Arrow. He is brazen enough to meet face to face because he knows the Lone Ranger has no solid proof on his criminal activities. He declares that he should be left alone as he does all he can to be in total control of the Tomahawk Basin.

Later, the Lone Ranger stops a rancher from drinking from a poisoned water hole. An argument breaks out, and after the Lone Ranger settles the matter, convinces the honest rancher of not selling out to Ben Steel and rides away. Ben's new henchman, Billy the Kid is introduced.

Rancher, Carrey is about to cave in to pressure and sign over his ranch to Steel, when the Lone Ranger intervenes in dramatic fashion. Steel rides off to face another day. Rather than being grateful, the rancher thinks he just missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime to sell out. Since their is some animosity between the Lone Ranger and the rancher, Steel's half breed side kick spreads rumors that the Lone Ranger is a trouble maker who is set on causing trouble with the sweet, honest, upright Ben Steel. .

The plan is to pretend to extend an offer to use Steel's watering hole, then set up a poisoning with the half breed in disguise, seen riding away from the hole on a white horse. Will the plan work to set the whole basin against the Lone Ranger? Can he clear his name, and regain the trust of the ranchers? There may be enough proof to ttake the half breed to jail, but Steel is still lose, and the half breed may be too valuable to Steel to leave him there. But those are concerns for some future episode.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Due to his unorthodox methods of vigillantee justice, the news headlines have been calling out with more force lately that the Green Hornet be brought down and taken off the streets. Newspaper mogul, Britt Reed is the Green Hornet, and as he muses over the headlines with his faithful valet Cato, he is more preoccupied with a cryptic code message. Is the Green Hornet being set up for a murder? Like that never happens.

The cops seem to ignore the clues on the crime scene and focus on finding the Green Hornet. Britt Reed gathers all the clues he can through the newspaper and his reporters, but he knows the official clues from the police reports aren't matching up. How can he fill in the gaps without revealing himself as the Green Hornet? It's looking like it could be the electric chair for the Hornet.

It'll take a lot of brain power to get to the bottom of the mystery, and fighting fire with fire, the Green Hornet stages a robbery that ought to work to clear his name, and put the finger on the guilty party. When enemy spies are uncovered, it becomes a tricky topic to expose them for their crimes. Exposing them to city officials would clear the Hornet, but open another huge can of worms.

Instead, Britt Reed makes it clear that the Hornet is innocent of this murder to city officials, but is willing to have the murder put on him for the sake of national security. Covering up the espionage activity will keep the nations enemies guessing, and keep them off guard with false information.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Bennet is a friend of Britt Reed who has a worry over the dispencing of a charity fund. He has little to do with deciding who gets the benefit, he just co-signs the checks with a man named Tinker. Is there something fishy going on that needs attention? Tinker has a buddy named Murdock, and together they're skimming the charity fund.

Britt sends out his reporters to talk to people on the charity roles. Will he find any complaints on the street? Does the amount being spent match what is being given out? Is there a way to get an inside angle? Tinker tries to stall Bennet, but soon a set up is put into motion to lay the blame on the honest charity members like Bennet. Though the city officials are fallling for it, the Green Hornet isn't, springing into action to strike fear into the hearts of the underworld.

While reporters and police hound Mrs Bennet, she gets a letter from the Green Hornet. Will it help her, or make her husband appear all the more guilty? At the least, the wording of the note makes the real racketeers think that the Green Hornet is horning in on their action. Using their own jealousy and greed, the Hornet sets up a trap.

Get ready for the lid to be kicked off of this scam, the innocent cleared, and the crooks bundled up quite nicely for the cops.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Wild Bill and Jingles know they're in for trouble when they get an important telegram. What will they find when they ride to town? A plot has been hatched by a blacksmith, but what can it be?

Commercial time. This new song cracks me up, "Right out of the box take a handfull out. Pop them into your mouth, as you run about." Parents everywhere be warned, and get ready to ride herd on a bunch of kids, hyped up on sugar. Imagine, these sugar crazed kids, then became the social rebels of the 1960's, and we have things like this commercial to blame.

Back to the story. Once they get to town, Bill learns his telegram was faked, but in light of all the bank robberies, he may still be helpful. The desperate bad guys are willing to do whatever it takes to stop Bill, so they can rob the payroll. Some of the blacksmiths plan of revenge shows itself when Bill and Jingles find their horses sabotaged. Then the sheriff is found dead.

The robbery goes down, and it's looking like the bad guys have gotten away, but wait... Bill has a plan, and the mystery figured out. How did Bill figure it all out? What tipped him off?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Blackie and Farraday are on the phone to talk about having lunch together. For people who seem to hate each other so much, they sure hang out together a lot. If I didn't know better, I'd think they were an old married couple.

Their phone conversation is interupted when a desperate man comes knocking on Blackie's door. The man is desperte to find out what time it is, but his watch is broken.

Blackie takes him, and even lets him stay over. The next morning, the man is still fanitical about the time. When he discovers all sources of checking the time are either broken, or disconnected, he runs into the streets. Blackies clocks have been broken and the cords to the phone to call the time check number. Of course, the man is gunned down uutside Blackie's place.

Farraday rushes to the scene to blame Boston Blackie. what's the deal with all the stopped, and broken clocks? What motive was there for the killing, since the dead man had a large sum of money on him? And why is Farraday always so quick to jump on Boston Blackie? Afterall, they were going to plan having lunch together. See what I mean? An old married couple.

Anyhow, back to the story. There's enough clues to start Blackie looking at a possible sale of a nightclub. The prime suspect seems to be a rival in the bidding to buythe the nightclub, but was it him? He's too easy of a target.

It could be a setup, and have yet another party in line to buy the nightclub. That's what Blackie has in mind, and it's enough to make the conections between the players, but is there enough evidence to pin down the killer?

Using his resources, Blackie puts on the pressure to force the bad guys hand. He asks Farraday to round up the players for a dramatic revelation in the night club, and put the finger on the guilty one.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A man writes to George with a problem. He has to commit a crime to keep from being in trouble.

When he talks to George in person, it is a matter of blackmail. He is trying to get out of being involved with a racket, but he doesn't know what his job is to be yet. Though his story sounds like a cliche, George decides to give the guy a break. He takes on his identity, and puts the man under wraps.

When George shows up at the prearranged meeting, a fresh body is waiting for him, along with a paniky, and overly dramatic secretary. Brooksie sets out to follow the secretary, while George is hauled into the police station.

The cops are disgruntled to know that he's involved, but George smells a set up. He continues the charade to keep the killer off guard, then sets up his own little trap. With a room full of thugs, he plays the desperate outlaw card, and puts on pressure to make them talk. Then with a few phone calls to Brooksie, and the cops, George calls in the big guns and closes the net on his catch.

Now here's the real mystery, who is the top dog in this little ring of crime, and who are the henchmen? It all comes out when the gang is delivered to the cops.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Features Gene Kelley. A small gang of thieves is led by Arthur, played by Gene Kelley. Arttie owes money, and he hasn't been having much luck on his takes lately. Imagine that, thieves who steal from thieves.

Can Artie trust the protection his mob boss is offering? Who knew gangsters were so patriotic as to have Victory Gardens? When Arttie sees his chance, he bumps off another gangster to get the cash he needs. Before he can find the stash of cash, Arthur keeps digging himself into a deeper mess. Can he blame someone else for the murder, and make a clean break of it? Hey, this thing just might work out in his favor, but there's still a detail or two to take care of.

Through a strange twist of coincidence, justice is served through the greed of the theives themselves. It seems that the same set up he trapped another thug into falling for is the same trap that was set for himself.

An interesting tale of justice at the hands of criminals.</itunes:summary>

The break up has to do with some nasty racketeers who Blackie is entangled with, and finds himself being kidnapped. Will he be set up to take the fall for a robbery and murder? Is there anything Blackie can do to stop the ruthless thugs?

Will the gang believe that Mary is actually no longer Blackie's girlfriend? If not, she might be in danger. Inspector Farraday has Blackie in custody, and isn't inclined to believe his story. Still, will he stand by and let Mary suffer at the hands of the gangsters? Blackie has to put his skills at opening locks to work so he can escape, and see that justice is done.

As he faces off with the Bailey gang, the audio cuts out. How does he manage the task? nobody can say, but you know that he will.

June knows her situation and goes to a terminal care facility and lets people know that her will is to be written. Her family members are well off, so she wants to provide for her constant caretaker and friend. The loyal nurse is to recieve all the money from her estate.

Suddenly, Scotland Yard is on the scene with the suspicion that June didn't die from a stroke, but from an overdose of morphine., The woman was already going to die soon, so who would want to rush the job? Was it one of her rich relatives? Was it the nurse who stood to loose her job and income at June's death? It sounds like a set up to me to cast blame on an undeserving person. <itunes:summary>Mr Keen gets a visit from a thug who he put into jail five years ago. He had vowed to get revenge on Mr Keen, but now he comes only to get information on the guy who squealed on him. Definitely a gruff thug who is a distasteful sort to Mr Keen.

After the man leaves, the newspaper headline announces the murder of the informant. Now Mr Keen has a young lady waiting for him to plead for help. Her husband has been picked up for the violent murder. Yet another thug.

Mr Keen agrees to investigate, but he warns the lady that if evidence proves her husband is indeed guilty, he will have to report that evidence even if it goes badly for her hubby.

Suddenly there are three thugs, all notorious for being ruthless killers in the past, being accused, but they all couldn't have done it. Even known ruthless killers deserve a break, so Mr Keen has to sort through the details to pick the right one, unless he gets himself killed in the process.

As ruthless as the suspects in the case may be, Mr Keen puts forth his best efforts to look at the facts with a level head. Still, it seems that at every turn more killers pop out to challenge the elderly, mild mannered investigator.

He may not have the braun, or wise cracks of Boston Blackie, or George Valentine, but he still outsmarts his would be killers, just in time for the cops to pick up the reall mastermind behind this mess.

The good news is that at least one of the tough ghuys seems to go straight in the end.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A bar owner has a sideline of cashing checks for the local factory payrole. When the story comes out as a beat cop stops in, a disgruntled employee arrives. Later when the place is robbed, and the owner murdered, it seems an open and shut case when a handkerchief connects the disgruntled man to the crime. Casey isn't so certain, but doesn't have anything to go on. Later, when the man has an ironclad alibi, it looks like a crooked cop might be involved. Can it be? Or is there some other conspiracy going on?

Casey takes a trip to his favorite bar and some casual conversation with his favorite bartender, Ethylbert. It's just the thing to become inspired. Since the cash is still missing, and the suspects are being closely watched, a trap is set to force the hand of the bad guys and put an end to the mystery. But not before another murder makes an appearance on the scene. Think you know who did it? Don't be so sure until you give it a listen.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A returning man, after several years away comes home to find his wife murdered. The police are handling the case, but the husband is holding a grudge against Mr Paulson, the employer of the dead woman. There's also a rift between Evans, the husband, and with the cops. He's a released convict and feels the cops are automatically against him.

Is the whole world really conspiring against him? It may feel that way, but he still has George Valentine in his corner. Plot twists, and dirty characters abound. Not to mention another body.

Was the accident that killed Mrs Evans really murder? Who killed Mr Paulson? Is the released convict, Mr Evans so desperte for revenge to have committed murder? The cops are doing what they can, but they have to operate within certain boundaries. Meanwhile, George and Brooksie fill the gap, they hit the streets and ask all the right questions. The pressure is on, the threat of a rising body count is in the air. Things are looking bleak for Evans, but can George talk him out of his hideing place, or prove him innocent somehow?

In epilog George shares all the details of the mystery with Brooksie.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A particular thug in town is giving people trouble. His name is Oscar Wolfe, and even Shorty and a gang of his friends want to have a piece of the troublemaker. Of course, Oscar comes up dead, and Farraday is fast to take the bait that sets up Blackie.

The key piece of evidence is a tape recording of Blackie talking threateningly to Oscar. Who knew he was planning to go to Oscar on such short notice? Would Shorty, or one of his friends frame Blackie? Acting on an idea from Mary, Blackie is off to confront his own most likely suspect. He has to keep hiding from the cops, but his sting operation just might work.

Blackie pretends to be lured into a trap by the killer, but he's really planning his own trap. Should Farraday be called in to help with the dangerous situation? Though Blackie thinks he has it under control, I think Mary might have her own back up plan up her sleeve. The forces of law, and Boston Blackie converge to cause secrets of drug smuggling and supply rackets to explode into the open.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In the quiet town of Bluefield, bandits are hiding out. Jingles and Bill head in to the general store to gather details. What will they discover about the counterfeiters? Jingles poses as an extra clerk in the store, and even has a little boy for a helper.

The tyke is nicknamed Snooper, and his desire is to become a famous detective. Bill takes him under his wing to offer pointers on what it takes to be good at both detecting, and keeping secrets. Meanwhile, Jingles has his own troubles keeping the store, waiting on customers, and watching for bogus bills. I think it's safe to say that Jingles could use a course on customer service skills.

Friendly Miss Schucks seems to have come into cash, and Bill finds that both she, and the mean jasper who tangled with Jingles have both passed a fake bank note. Might they be involved with counterfeiting? Snooper stumbles onto a secret that could prove to be deadly to Wild Bill.

As Bill moves in, the bad guys scramble to hide the evidence of their crime. Will the counterfeiters have a trap set for our heros, or with Wild Bill manage his own trap? Snooper lends a hand, and locates the loot that clenches the fate of our bad guys.

Trivia: We learn today that Jingles has a last name, Jones. Hey, the sponsor has changed their jingle, and their cereal boxes as well.</itunes:summary>

On the streets of Dodge, Tom shows the chip on his shoulder to Matt and Chester, and brags about the men he's killed. Is there going to be trouble?

Complaints about Tom start to come to Matt. Tom's trick is to lur his victim into drawing first, and Matt's hands are tied since Tom is killing in self defense. If the Marshall can't put a stop to it though, Clay may be facing death from a different direction than a fair gunfight.

Morgan is a man whose brother was killed by Tom in Dodge City, and he plays his own game to bring some hard justice to the brash youngster. Can Matt prevent rash behavior? Will Matt be drawn in as an instrument of death? There's a fine line between gunslinging, and law enforcement in a raw Western town.</itunes:summary>

The rustlers who did the killing blackmail him into paying them off to keep things quiet. Later in the stormy night, the Marshall's body is found by the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and Dan Reed.

We learn more about Larry and the weight his guilt is forcing on him. His aging rancher father carved out his fortune in cattle the hard way, and his best hope is that Larry will turn out to be as hard working, respectable, and responsible as he had been. How can Larry ever come clean to his dad about the murder that he has become entangled in?

As Larry and his dad ride the range, going afrter the rustlers, the elder rancher mistakes the Lone Ranger for the bandits. When the air is cleared, Larry comes clean to the masked man, telling the truth about how he was set up. Can the Lone Ranger hjelp set things right? There's no reason to expect that Larry can get off, but Lone Ranger sees that the young rancher is earnest and sets out to do all he can to help.

Listen in to see how the tables are turned on our bandits, and Larry saves the day for his dad, and the stolen cattle.

<itunes:summary>On a mesa where cattle graze, rustlers watch for their chance. The rancher, Red Mallory is a formidible person to tangle with, but the outlaws make a plan. They want to frame Cisco to get into a fight with Red, and take the rancher out of the picture for them. The rustler, Ed Bowland, has a daughter named Daisy that Red is engaged to. Can Ed spread his lies thick enough to convince Red that Cisco is trying to take Daisy from him? Will the chivalrous Cisco believe that Ed is no good, and step into the trap/

After an initial confrontation, Cisco does the smart thing, he actually goes to see what Daisy has to say in the matter. She doesn't know her dad's plan, but she helps Cisco figure out what he has to do. The sneaky plans aren't over yet, and Cisco finds himself in jail. Can he escape, and stop more trouble from happening to Red? I'll bet he can, but what's the forcast of mushy stuff? Good luck kiddies, it ends with just a few crazy comments between our heros. O Cisco! O Pancho!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A woman is acosted on the street by a man claiming to be her father in law. The back story is that her husband was killed, and the man's son was sent to prison for it. Carlos is now being released when her aledgedly dead husband is discoveed alive. In the meantime, she has remarried. Lot's of room for jealousy and murder.

In the Blue Note, Ann williams, Ethylbert, and Casey talk over the subtle nuances of the case. will Carlos be out for revenge over being jailed for nothing? In public, he claims to want to simply return home and live a quiet life with his father. Dad is a bit more emotional though.

Sure enough, the woman ends up dead, and all evidence points to Carlos or his dad. It's all too neat for Casey, so he and Ann review the motives and opportunities of their suspects. Is it really Carlos out for revenge? Is dad just covering up for him, and ready to take the fall for his son? Maybe her new husband is taking advantage of the situation to cast blame on Carlos?

Casey has it figured out, and now all he needs to do is spring his trap. A surprise ending awaits, but Casey just might fall into danger before justice is done. Sit tight, and the whole mystery will be explained in the Blue Note.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>On the streets of Dodge City, Chester talks with Doc about some medical advice. Doc's words are cut short when a rider goes past, and Doc soberly claims that he's going to kill that man.

Matt is on the scene to try to get to the bottom of the hostilities. Doc ain't saying what the grief is, and the miner is just as tight lipped. Later, a gunshot breaks the night time silence. When Clem the miner is shot, Doc is the prime suspect, but he's also the one who could patch him up if anybody can.

Matt is sure his friend is innocent, but he needs proof to clear him. Doc saves Clem's life, and Matt's proof is forthcoming soon enough. But will Doc share his dark secret from his past? Is there a chance the two old acquaintences will make up, and let their old grudge drop?

Note: The pistol Doc is said to be carrying is a Walker Colt. It was the first model that was mass produced, and was the weapon of choice of Texas Rangers as they fought for independence from Mexico. Later, it was the side arm widely used when Civil War generals were young captains, and fighting together on the Mexican border under General Winfield Scott.</itunes:summary>

The scene is set, anda way is found for a killer to hav gotten into the room, and left unnoticed. It explains it all, but Casey begins to doubt his friend's innocence. What will the cops think once they are called on the job?

In the Blue Note, Casey talks the matter over with Ann and Ethylbert. Steve is a bookie, and claims to have paid off his gambling debts. His safe was empty, and he doesn't know where the cash came from that was in it. Casey strikes on a situation involving loaded dice, and a new scenario of how the bodies came to be is arrived at. Can Casey prove his theory? A confrontation is set up, but gunshots ring out as the plot is being uncovered. It doesn't matter, since it only speeds the answers along for Casey to bring to light.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>There has been a trucking accident, and a woman is concerned over a boy who may be in trouble. He was hitchhiking to find a better job so he could make a better life for himself, and the gal. George is on the case and investigates the circumstances around the accident on the highway. It's clear that somebody is telling lies about the wreck, but why? There seems to be a cover up for a murder, using the wreck to disguise it.

Though it doesn't please Wanda, George puts her on the spot over the fact that he believes her boyfriend is lying about his story. Mickey is an escapee from reform school, and has been spreading lies to everyone in the story. Do his lies have alicious intent? Is there anything of substance in his love affair with Wanda? With his track record there's no reason to, but George thinks Mickey is telling the truth for once. If so, who would want to pin the rap on the kid? Listen in as George puts the clues together, and nails the real killer, and exposes motive for the intentional wreck.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A woman is alone on her farm with her mentally challenged son, and fears for her safety. With her husband long dead she worries that her brother is ineffectual to help, and her closest neighbor ought to have been put in prison. George arrives on the scene, and smells something fishy going on. There's a matter of a missing broache, and strange deaths begin to occur. Baby chicks are found dead, then dogs are mutillated. Is the slow minded son behind it? Is he the real danger in the story? He is certainly capable of the violent acts, but he has the mentality of a small child.

<itunes:summary>Arriving in port, the stevedores make short work of unloading the cargo from the Scarlet Queen. Suddenly there's a big comotion, and a man is dead.

Firecrackers masked the gunshots fired from a snipers position, and the main suspect is a Chinese woman, but Carney believes her story, and sets out to defend her cause. As he makes the rounds to investigate, Philip provides picturesque commentary as he goes from place to place. He encounters disappearing murder weapons, and evidence.

Philip Carney and Red Gallagher closely scrutinize the scene of the shooting for clues. There isn't much to go on, so what else can he try to force the killer to show himself? Using himself as bait for the trap, Philip catches the killer, and in epilog he tells the secrets of the mystery.</itunes:summary>

When news of a famous actress is murdered, Blair is called to return to action, and leave his social life behind for the moment. We learn a few of the details of the case, and about Blair's life and career.

For years he has been putting crooks into jail, but in this case he's acting as a private detective to help the defendant. In interviewing the jailed suspect, Blair asks the questions that the cops forgot to ask, and it's enough to get him started.

Though there's good evidence pointing towards the man's guilt, Blair spots a glimmer of hope that could set his man free. The case hinges on a letter. Stay tuned for the next installment to learn if Blair finds his letter writer, and the one he suspects is the real killer.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A man meets a young gal, and wins her over to marry him. After a year, there's a baby, and a farm with lots of work to be done. Not the life the young gal, Margarete had expected. The once timid gal is showing signs of unhappiness when a childhood friend returns back in her life. A scheme is developed to hire a man on as a farm hand, then set him up to kill dear old hubby.

The boyfriend seems to have too much integrity to kill someone, or at least doesn't want to get his hands dirty in doing it. The farmhand is just too honest to go through with it, and is faithful to his boss.

The scene changes to a typical evening, with mama giving baby a bath, having some trouble with getting the hired man to do her chores that she has for him, and hubby going out to take care of a last minute barnyard task. It should be no surprise that he meets with one of those kinds of accidents that happen on purpose. The set up is pretty clear, but it's a shame that Drummie the farm hand is taking the fall.

What? A dishonest ending to a radio police mystery? Of course not, but how will the cops prove otherwise? Will they believe Drummie, even though the easy, circumstantial evidence points to him? Listen in to learn the small piece of evidence that puts the criminals where they belong.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>There have been a few hold ups lately, and Lightning Jim is on the case, along with Deputy Whitey Larsen. A photographer, Chicago Charlie, is eager to snap photos of the folks he comes across in the Western territories, but what he really wants to do is catch a robbery on film.

A couple of rough types that Charlie meets aren't so eager to have their pictures taken though. Even Jim and Whitey give him a hard time over the new technology. Later, Jim sends Whitey to make up with Charlie over the prank that was pulled on him, and Whitey gets to see how the film is developed. In the process, paths with the rough characters are again crossed.

At the point of a gun, badguys Ike and Dan make Whitey and Charlie eat a pot of beans. Just to teach them not to come around snooping. Wierd. Back with Jim, Whitey and Charlie don't see why they are being laughed at over their ordeal. I'll bet once the affects of those beans kick in, Jim will be sorry he laughed at them too.

Jim wants to have Chicago Charlie just go home, but the photographer wants to get shots of a train robbery in action first. Jim decides to ride the money train as guard, and with his friends, they decide to stage a robbery of their own. Just to get rid of Charlie. Of course, Ike and Dan decide to do a train robbery for real. The joke turns serious in a hurry, but Jim gets his man, and Charlie gets his photo shoot.

Whitey even gets a little revenge and makes Ike and Dan eat a pot of beans themselves. I still don't see that as revenge, not when those beans go to work on the digestive system.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Listen in and witness as the cops break in on Barton, in an attempt to take him back to prison. It leads to Barton's escape, and the cops being gunned down. It's just the beginning of his revenge on those who played a part in sending him to jail in the first place.

Inspector Farraday isn't so dumb as to not see that, but before he can come through on his offer of protection, another victim falls prey to Barton. With Boston Blackie on the scene, he notices a clue that Barton may not entirely be behind the latest killing though. What does that imply, and why does it matter? Bickering all the way, Farraday and Blackie try their own hands at trying to trap the killer before anymore murders can go down.

Will either be successful in their plans? With all the shooting, stabbing, and killing going on Blackie and Farraday have to pause, and compare notes before plowing on to the bottom of this mystery.

Blackie manages to uncover a clue that has to do with a doctor who lost his license, and now works on shot up gangsters. How will that help? Blackie finds himself in danger, out of danger, and fighting with the bad guys. In the end he tells Mary how he made his escape, and figured out who killed which bad guys and why.

Still, there's just a little more to this mixed up multilayered mystery. Enjoy the ride as Blackie stays a jump or two ahead of Farraday and wraps up all the thugs for justice to deal it's rewards and punishments.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Wild Bill and Jingles are about to ride smack into the middle of a full blown feud out on the range. Two bands of riders race at each other, shooting. Caught between the shooters, it's up to Bill to call them to a halt. The range warriors are out for blood, but not wanting outsiders to shed blood, they at least listen to Bill. For now.

What they need is a big box of those yummie treats, made from the golden hearts of corn. Eat them right out of the box just like any tasty treat or snack. You know why, because kids love Pops, moms love Pops, and pops love Pops.

Back to the story. It looks like Bill and Jingles have their hands full in keeping the warring clans apart. If it were just the two families, it could be a simple thing, but the whole county has taken sides against the Cauldwells, and the Moore's. The little skirmish has a couple of tough guys ready to use the feud to their advantage. A murder is staged, but will Wild Bill fall for the bogus crime? The feud will begin anew if Bill can't prove the murder never happened. Jingles helps to forestall the slaughter that will spark when news of the killing gets out, but what's the violence meant to cover for anyway?

We'll get all the answers right after another break with that treat loaded with sugary goodness. Eat all you want of that crisp treat with the sweetening already on them. Sure to stay fresh for 10 times longer with that solid aluminum bag to protect them. Got your sugar rush under control?

Time to get back to stopping that battle of the century. Bill has ridden up on some cattle being rustled. Will it answer the questions that Bill is looking for, or just lead to his own end? As we return to see how the feud is going down, a shot rings out. Has Bill been gunned down? Don't sell Bill so short. He has the vital clue needed to stop that range war, but will he e believed? Listen in to learn the outcome.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A challenge arrives in box 13 that has Dan asking questions in a dangerous part of town. Dan asks about a character named Johnny Tigh, but the name manages to only stir up the fears of the shady types he runs into. A story of revenge, and paranoia begins to emerge. Dan manages to get a list of names that Johnny is gunning for. What kind of story would it be if one of the people being targeted wasn't a sultry woman?

Dan tracks down his people, and the story is filled in. Johnny is a ruthless convict who is bacck on the streets and out to get those who did him wrong. When Dan has a run in with Johnny, he tries to talk sense to him. Is killing the answer? Is there another solution that will work better? Maybe Johnny is in just as much danger as Dan, and being played for another set up.

After a thump on the head, and waking up to a murder, Dan vows to his policeman friend to solve the mystery and hand it to the cops by morning. Dan keeps plowing his way through the parade of shady characters, and digging for the clues he needs to lay blame. Was it Janice, or Fatty? Johnny is missing again, but when Fatty is shot down before Dan's eye's the list of suspects shrinks.

Dan seems to be a step behind the killer, and he'll need to act fast to get the jump ahead he needs. If anybody can figure out the mess, Dan can. Listen in and see if you have the facts, and the answers before he does. Don't miss the big ending when the cops close in on their man Johnny, and the real killer is exposed by Dan.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>We find Lightning Jim and deputy Whitey Larsen riding the trail in responce to a couple letters asking for help with rustlers. One is from a friend who has been shot, and though near death, wants Jim to help his son get to the bottom of the rustling gang. The other is from the mayor of Broken Horn, and accuses Jim's friend of being the rustler. Which is it? Jim is riding in to find out.

There shouldn't be many surprises, but the listener is privvy to the rustlers making their evil plans to not only rustle, but to set up Jim's friend Turner to take the blame. Jim has his own plan to flush out the crooks. Will the rustlers be suckered into Jim's trap? On the trail, Jim and Whitey are ambushed, and the snipers have reason to think that Whitey has been killed.

Elsewhere, Whitey takes advantage of his situation to help Turner, and get more details on the rustlers activity. With all the traps, blufs, and secret behavior, who will fall prey to who?

As we head into the commercial break, and exciting conclusion, Jim is in danger of ambush, Whitey and Turner are framed for rustling, and the future looks bleak for our friends. Jim has help from an unexpected source, but can he trust it? is it just the thing that will lure Jim to the ambush, or get him out of it? Does Whitey and Turner stand a chance of getting out of their charges of rustling?

Saddle up your pony and ride with all guns blasting through the exciting conclusion of today's western adventure, and see how justice is done at the hand of Lightning Jim Wipple and deputy Whitey Larsen.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Box 13 - Daytime Nightmares. 490515.

A proposition that is mutually beneficial, and dangerous is just the kind of invitation to lure Dan Holiday out on another adventure. After a dinner meeting with his client, the million dollar deal is dangled before Dan, but he has been drugged and taken to a strange place. When Dan comes around, he finds himself locked up in a padded cell, and is being called Mr Stokes. The more Dan tries to claim that he's not Mr Stokes, the more his captors think he deserves his padded cell in the sanitarium. The identity take over is complete enough that with dyed hair, and cosmetic changes, even Dan doesn't recognize himself in the mirror.

Dan continues to meet the people in Mr Stokes life, including his wife. What is the big switch all about? Who is the real Mr Stokes? Who knows what is really going on? Probably most importantly, who can Dan trust to be his ally? With all his options being closed down, Dan has been setup to take a fall for murder.

<itunes:summary>Scarlet Queen - Shore Leave And The Unhappy Wife. 470925.

It looks like Philip Carney has another tale of woe after being involved with a woman, and the port authorities. Carney recounts a general review of his mission sailing for Kang, and what it's worth. Pulling into port in Singapore, Philip arrives in the office of Kang to meet the man himself. Now that Philip and Red have met the much anticipated Kang, they share in the anticlimax with a shot of that foreignly exotic beverage, corn squeezings.

Though Kang showers an honorable speech on Philip, he still isn't out of the clear with his archrival and outlays a new adventure. Kang wants Red to be fired. Red was in the employ of Constantino, Kang's rival when the voyage began, and Kang is uncomfortable with keeping him on.

Kang's daughter is introduced to Philip, but to him she just spells trouble. Back on the Scarlet Queen, and with the crew turned loose on holiday, Red still hasn't been told of being fired. Then Philip is surprised to see Red return to the ship, beaten badly, and with a tale of murder. The cops are on the way, and carney does all he can to help his friend Gallagher. The dead man was the one who was to replace Red, and all the evidence, opportunity, and motive point to Red. Did Kang betray Philip? Who else would have setup Gallagher?

Philip scrambles to find the real killer, and in confronting Red about being fire. It just might work, if only the cops weren't already on the ball and closing in on Red. Carney is faced with the need to fight past the cops to escape and remain free to do his own investigating. Is the killer falling for Carney's bluff, or is he even trying to trap the right person?

When one bluff won't work, Carney tries another. In voiceover, Carney paints the full picture of the aftermath, then goes again to talk with Kang. With the mission over, mystery solved, and Red's job safe, will there be more adventures for the Scarlet Queen? Of course, so stay tuned.</itunes:summary>

Elsewhere a gangster and his gal gloat over the fast one they just pulled to set up Blackie, as well as fill in some of the plot. They return to their boss, Charlie, to report what they just did with the envelope at Blackie's. The scam involves bargaining with a Senator, and the listener is made privvy to the blackmail and extortion scheme. Too bad the small time thug underestimated the gang boss known as the Senator.

Everybody thinks that Blackie has an envelope full of incriminating papers on the Senator, even Farraday thinks so. Nobody knows the truth but Johnny, the small time thug, and the Senator. It looks like the only losers here will be the gangsters as they set about knocking each other off. So, what is there for Blackie and Farraday to do? They need to take down the Senator, of course.

As Blackie and Farraday are piecing together the phone call, and empty envelope incident, they learn of the gangster body count, the facts come clicking through Blackie's mind in high speed. Now it's a matter of putting the squeeze on the senator, and springing a trap. Mary gets to act as bait and pose as Ginger, the gunned down mobster's gal. It'll be dangerous, and risky, but Blackie assures Mary that he'll be close bby to be her safety net. Can Mary pull this off? She's awfully nervous.

Farraday eventually comes around to close in on the bad guy, but will he be too late in closing in on the Senator, just when Mary is risking her life? Don't worry. True to his form, Blackie has the situation under control.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Blair - The Clover Creek Mystery Part 1. ep15, 380509.

As he talks with a colleague, Blair expresses how it has been his belief that human frailties are more important than circumstantial evidence. As if to prove his point, a new case is brought to him.

Word of a murder case comes to Blairs ears. At Clover Creek, two brothers have had a quarrel, and the one was cut out of the will. The will had been drawn up, but not signed, implicating that the surviving brother, Fred Sutton, had good motive for the murder, although he has an alibi. Blair sends his investigator out with the admonition to not arrest anybody just yet. Apparently the situation alone has alerted Blair's instinct for foul play.

After a look at the boat that was involved, it is clear to the inspector that it was murder, it was rigged to cause the bottom to fall out and cause the passenger to fall through. The elaborate set up is explaned to Blair, and though on the surface, all signs point to Frank, Blair insists that it wasn't the brother.

If not Frank, then who did it? Why does Blair think there's someone else to suspect? To find out, stay tuned to the conclusion in the next episode.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Guilty Hands. 450706.

It was afternoon whenMr Madison arrived at the hotel with a letter. The man he is meeting knows past secrets of Madison, and holds information over his head. The story comes out that Madison had been a bank robber before, and his attitude makes it seem that he is resentful that the old news is being dragged out, since he has been trying to go straight.

The man Madison is meeting seems to be a gambler, and wants to lure in important man into his gambling table. Tonto has been watching, and after being told the report from his indian friend, the Lone Ranger decides to use a disguise to have a look for himself.

Madison's friend, Blackjack, soon takes his marks for plenty of money. When gunplay is about to break out, Lone Ranger, in his disguise as a Mexican interferes. Tonto has more word on Blackjack, and Lone Ranger goes to do some spying. How do they use the information they learn?

Lone Ranger decides to go to the dad of the mark, an important business man who has Madison, the former bank robber working for him. What will the rich man do? How will he react? Dad and son talk about what to do, and how to handle things with the cheating gambler. They aren't honor bound to pay him, but what kind of trouble might the cheater make for them?

Blackjack and his unwilling partner, Madison set about making a plan to swindle the rich dad out of his cash. The dad is missing confidential information Blackjack has returned IOU's to make it seem that he has been paid off. What does all this mean? How will it lead to the swindle?

Dad doesn't want to believe what is going on, but just then Lone Ranger has nabbed Blackjack, and hauls him in for a confrontation. To prove a point, a trap has been set to mark the hands of the guilty person who is really behind the crim, and illicit actions.

How will all the plans, traps, and schemes shake out? Join in for the exciting ride with the Lone Ranger, and discover for yourself.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Let George Do It - The Lady In Distress. 490425.

A frightened showgirl writes to George, afraid that her first real break in the business will be her last. Since George is away, Brooksie listens to the distressed woman. The showgirl reports some shady happenings at the Peacock Lounge where she works. Since the club owners don't have much contact with the showgirl with limited tallent, Brooksie decides to fill in for her and check things out for herself.

Meanwhile, the travelling George Valentine has had trouble finding the client who called him out of town, and at the train station he encounters a man who seems to be deathly sick and needs his help to get him some medicine. In the process, George misses his train. Later the station manager talks to George, and his sick old man has suddenly regained his health and was seen rushing to catch the train that he caused George to miss. The whole situation of George going to Seattle in the first place was clearly a set up to get George out of town.

George phones his police detective friend, and they think its a trap designed to grab the curious Brooksie. Back in the nightclub, Brooksie does her poking around, and builds an alliance with one of the other showgirls. She tells enough to the dippy showgirl about her secret replacement job to gain trust, but tries to be cautious about telling all.

Brooksie makes contact with the club owners about her expected job opportunity. Elsewhere, George gets back into town and chews out the original showgirl client about setting up Brooksie. if she knows about any danger to Brooksie, she isn't telling. As he leaves, one of the thugs comes in with news that the deal is going down, if they can just keep George tied up for a little while longer. George finally catches up with the roughed up Brooksie, and a body at her feet. Did she kill the man,or was she set up somehow? Brooksie can't remember a thing as she is arrested for suspicion of murder.

George keeps his head as he fights his own emotions, and tries to get the facts from the emotional Brooksie. It's clear to him that she was drugged, and set up. Does he have the proof he needs to clear her name? George finds Brooksie's dipsy showgirl friend, and picks her brain for what she knows, and how she got roughed up. Even the dippy showgirl has a black eye.

News about a large sum of money emerges, and it just might be a key piece of the puzzle. George's poking around leads him to his wild goose that he spent the first part of the show chasing. Though he gets his revenge on the man, George finds himself being chewed out by the cops. Not to mention that he still isn't any closer to finding the hard evidence he needs to clear his gal Brooksie.

In the jail they talk about the case when a major clue lands on George's lap in the form of the morning paper. It's time for George to call all the players together, and explain the whole case, sorting the red herings from the mastermind behind the whole scheme. With all the subtleties of the plot twists out in the open, George can appreciate Brooksie again after he softens back up to her in the office. Watch out! Mushy stuff alert, but you have to expect that from George and Brooksie. We'll forgive them.

PS: A very good mystery that had an ending I didn't quite expect. However, I was a little disappointed the whole episode didn't take a different track. Once it was made known tha tGeorge was out of town, and Brooksie was going to handle a mystery on her own, I had hoped the writers would let her handle it fom beginning to end. Then having George just pop in for the end, and be amazed at Brooksie's ability to handle an adventure on her own. The woman is indeed tougher than I think George ever gives her credit for.

Even an ending where Brooksie has solved the whole mystery on her own, but downplays it on George's arrival, so nobody knows her little secret except the radio audience would have been a different twist.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Crime Club - Silent Witnesses. 470327.

The unusual story of a letter that was registered by death.

A young girl falls asleep reading a murder mystery novel. She awakens at the sound of gunshots. Was it just part of her dream? She thinks it's real enough to phone her boyfriend who is a newspaper reporter. The man is skeptical, but she is certain of what she heard, although she speculates on exactly what happened. The two snoop around, and the couple really do find that shots have been fired, and there's a body in the house.

They only find evidence of one gunshot, although Mary heard two fired. The investigation heats up, and a suspicious letter is a key piece of the puzzle. What does the dead man's girlfriend know? What about his house servants? A huge inheritance is at stake.

It's the somewhat dippy Mary who figures that the missing Frank might not be dead, but just wants people to think that he is. Mary and boyfriend, Barney, continue poking around a country cottage to find signs that their missing man is living there. The two investigators find themselves locked in the cabin, and now someone has turned on the gas.

Meanwhile, the ruthless Hilda confronts Tom, and demands that letter. Does he have it? The two shady characters work a deal, but can either be trusted? Back at the cabin, Mary and Barney desperately make their break and emerge into fresh air. The ordeal has inspired Barney to figure a few things out, and he reviews more clues with Mary. There's a sell out, and blackmail going on.

Barney begins a plan to trap the various suspects, as he poses as the dead man. In dramatic fashion, the killer shows himself, but has Barney lost control of the situation? The mystery is laid out, and the letter and other clues are explained. It isn't looking like a happy ending for our heros, but with the confession out in the open, there's a final twist to return control to the good guys.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Scarlet Queen - The Barefoot Nymph And The Mother Hubbard Jacket. ep9, 470828.

The Scarlet Queen is sailing towards Manilla, as ship master Philip Carney describes the coastline. The port should have been a friendly port of call, and the sailors look forward to a nice long break. After just three nights ashore though, trouble begins.

Red Gallagher surprises Carney as he returns to the ship with gun in hand after his trip to town. What kind of trouble is Carney about to find? Carney is as picturesque as ever as he offers voiceover description when he follows Red.

A bar fight breaks out, and Philip gets the scoop from Red about the damsel in distress that started the whole mess. The three make a quiet get away, and the gal accompanies Philip on a journey cross country. The girl is appreciative to be taken home, and without any passes being made at her. When Carney gets back to town, he learns that Red is in trouble for killing one of the men in the bar fight, but Philip thinks something fishy is going on. Can he prove it though? He'll have to if he wants to clear his first mate, but it involves an encounter with that seemingly helpless gal again.

This time the mystery woman comes on as a bit more worldly. What game is she up to? Carney is certain that everything she does has a purpose behind. it. Is she really in love with Philip? What lies is she trying to feed him? He doesn't care about her, sees through her act, and pressures her to help get Red back.

Philip has picked up on the details of the crime scene of the dead man in the bar, and wants to tell all to the cops if it helps set Red free. Is he getting in the way of something, or someone bigger than he knows? Carney finds himself in danger, but the gal isn't as sinister as all that, at least she helps give a suspect over to the authorities who is said to be the killer, and with Red set free, the Scarlet Queen is under sail once again.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Johnny Dollar - The Case Of The 100000 Dollar Legs. 490415.

Johnny is called away from enjoying the horse races to his next job. He has 48 hours to report to his client. He makes it to the apartment of the attractive movie star, only to find her murdered. Johnny notifies his insurance company, and goes to notify the authorities, then finds a sultry woman who could be the double for the dead movie star. Who is she, and why is she tampering with the crime scene?

Being a sucker for a pretty face, Johnny seems to help her out, but gets set up for the murder instead. Shots ring out, and a man's voice is heard fleeing. Now the lady who set up Johnny is dead. Can Johnny explain his way out of being arrested by the cops? All of Johnny's witnesses are now dead, and the cops have trouble believing his story, and Johnny finds himself in a jail cell.

With emotions settled down, and after realizing Johnny is telling the truth, the cops talk with Johnny to compare notes on the evidence. There's a matter of some missing letters. What kind of scandal might they release? Who would want to kill to keep that info private?

With suspects in mind, Johnny volunteers to be the bait in a trap to lure the killer after him. With much publicity, Johnny's name hits the papers as a suspect that the cops are after. Sure enough when news hits the street that he has been released, Johnny gets to his hotel to find a woman there to demand the missing letters. Before long a man with a gun demands the letters. Who are all these people? How many more will show up with murderous intentions?

Johnny provides voiceover commentary, and a fight breaks out that ends up with Johnny in control of the situation. More visitors pop in, more gunplay, then back at the police station, Johnny unravels the situation to the cops. Johnny is mad that the cops didn't offer him any protection, or backup for his troubles, but it turns out that it's his own fault. O that crazy old, sneaky Johnny.

With all the action over, all that's left is the paperwork, as Johnny finishes up his expense report.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Mr Keen - The Broken Window Murder Case. 500525.

In a large estate, amiddle aged man relaxes in his library. Suddenly, there's a break in, and he is stabbed. The man's tearful daughter Laura goes to Mr Keen the next day to ask for his help. He was a kind, and generous man. Who would have a reason to kill him?

Police have determined the killer broke into the house through a window while Laura was sleeping upstairs. She is suddenly inspired with a thought that it may be a matter of her jealous, jilted boyfriend, George. Laura has just been engaged to Charles, and George thinks it's all her father's doing. Making her dump him because he's poor, and pushing her off on Charles because he's from a well off family. Mr Keen assures Laura that he'll do all that is within his power to solve the mystery, but warns her that her life may be subjected to danger.

First Mr Keen and Mike visit the scene of the crime. The window had been locked, and seems to be the reason why the killer had to break the glass. With all the blood, I bet the killer will have a bandaged hand.

Mr Keen eavesdrops on a phone call between Laura and a friend, and suspects the conversation that implies George is too convenient, and George may be getting set up in a trap. As Mike investigates outside with Laura, Mr Keen pokes around indoors. George is on the premises with his bandaged hand, and Mike finds an extra clue when he catches up to George. He claims that he came to tell Laura it wasn't him, and tells how he cut his hand. Is he telling the truth?

Just then the fiancee arrives to keep an eye on George while Mr Keen goes out to examine the dead rabit that Mike found. The hole in the ground is there, but the rabbit is gone. Another intruder is on the grounds, a young lady. A new rift is exposed between Laura and the woman who was in line with marrying her dad.

Inside there's a struggle, apparently the fiancee tried to clobber the handcuffed, and defenseless George. Besides that, Mr Keen has already figured it out, and this only provides more evidence to rake the real killer over the coals. The desperate killer breaks down, gets violent, and admits to his past life of crime.
What was it that put Mr Keen on to him? What does the rabbit have to do with anything? Listen to see what the mystery is about, and the elaborate plan for a murder and a set up.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Johnny Dollar - Milford Brooks III. 490325. Take a trip with the fabulous Johnny Dollar as he sets out on his next freelance insurance investigation.

Johnny starts out by getting into a fight, and holds his unconscious attacker, Milford Brooks while the background of the story is told. Brooks is trying to kill himself, but if he does, the insurance policy will have pay out to his recently updated beneficiary. He is in debt to a notorious gambling racketeer, and sees suicide as his only way out. Can Johnny give Milford a reason to live?

As his bodyguard, Johnny tries to hook the man up with a date with one of his sellections out of his little black book. Going back to New York City, Johnny decides to show the man a night out on the town to lift his spirits. I have a feeling it won't be as simple as that, but let's see how well Johnny does at keeping the man alive, and out of trouble. When Johnny is preoccupied, Milford flies the coupe with Johnnie's girlfriend.

Can Johnny find his man before he kills himself, or falls into the hands of his nemesis? The cops haven't found any trace of the man, but an empty overcoat with Brook's identity has been found near the Hudson river. Johnny confronts the racketeer, Harold Hatcher, in his nightclub. Johnny is intercepted by a dame who works for Hatcher, but lets him in to see the gangster. What answers might Johnny learn?

Why would Hatcher knock off one of his prime assets for cash? He stands to collect a few thousand if Brooks is alive, but 2 million as the insurance beneficiary. Sounds like a prime suspect to me, but what will the cops be able to squeeze out of the racketeer?

Information seems forthcoming from the gangster's dame. Johnny is on the chase, as he trails her to a hideout.

In an abandoned garage, Johnny is stopped in his tracks when he hears the voice of Milford Brooks. A fistfight breaks out, and in the confrontation, Johnny reveals the mystery. But what happened to Johnny's girlfriend? The confrontations aren't over when Hatcher is on the scene with plans to teach them all a lesson.

Johnny has to fight his way out of danger, but has the bad guys under wraps until the cops arrive, and happy endings go all around for Johnny, his gal, and the insurance company.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Heros Grave. 450530.

The stage coach races into the small Western town with it's three passengers. It's not the first trip for two of the occupants, but it's Dan Reed's first ride in a stage coach. They talk about the courageous soldier who was killed, and is the father and husband of the young lady and child in the stage coach.

The group is met by a loud mouthed teenager who makes claims that the dead soldier might not be as honorable as esteemed by the kid on the stage coach. Can it be true? Is it just the tauntings of a kid with a malicious spirit?

In the Lone Ranger's camp, Dan tells all about the incident. Lone Ranger knows the truth, and tells Dan about it. As the telling fades into flashback mode, we learn about the fallen Army officer , and the actions that preceeded his death.

The Lone Ranger narrates as the players relive the past drama. Details emerge that make it seem that the murdered man, Benson, may have a drug problem. When Benson is shot, the Lieutenant's name is shouted, and the aide claims that Lt Carsley escaped through the window. There are facts that don't line up in the Lone Ranger's mind, but the evidence stacks up against the Lieutenant. He was condemned to face a firing squad, but was spared that dishonor only when he was killed in action against an indian raid.

After the mid show commercial break, as our trio of heros ride to se the modern day Captain, now a Colonel, the story continues. They run a recreation of the crime scene and events. What do they hope to prove? Will the Colonel be on their side?

Lone Ranger has it figured out, and the enactment reveals the truth. It's a suicide, and a set up. But why? Don't worry, all the details are revealed. How can the facts be used to make things right? If anybody can do it, the Lone Ranger can, and in great dramatic and emotional style. Though mom and Jimmy have always had confidence, they are specially honored to have their fallen soldier cleared and honored by all.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Sheriffs Son. 430419. Out of the past come the thundering hoof beats of the great horse, Silver. The Lone Ranger rides again!

It was a dark and stormy night when a traveller seeks refuge in a lonely prairie salloon. He's an outlaw who is growing weary of being on the run. The outlaw develops a plan to get rid of the marshal, take any suspiscion off of himself, and make a few bucks on top of it. What could the plan be? He lures an unsuspecting local man into killing the marshall.

The manipulated man is blackmailed as the cover up is planned. A perfect crime, right? Just then, the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and Dan Reed all ride into town to get out of the storm and find the marshalls body.

Meanwhile, a rancher's son is given some advice by an old cowhand. The son is prone to drinking and gambling in town. He needs to change his ways if he hopes to be the kind of man his dad is. When there's a shootout on the trail, and the old guy is gunned down, the son feels responsible.

Dan has made camp while Lone Ranger has tracked down the owner of the pearl handled pistol that killed the marshall. They run into some resistance from local ranchers after the attempt at rustling, and the dead cowhand incident.

Can Lone Ranger convince them that they've picked the wrong man? They apprehend the rancher's son instead, and ride off. The son comes clean, and tells the whole story. The Lone Ranger sees through the story, and helps the man see it with a clear head. Is it too late? What can be done to make things right? Will the stolen cows be able to be recovered?

The son sees the error of his ways, and only wishes for a second chance to prove to his dad that he is capable, and responsible. Lone Ranger and Tonto verify the setup, and know that the son isn't the killer of the marshall.

Don't miss the exciting conclusion where all the questions are answered in adventuresome fashion, and the bad guys face up to the justice that only the Lone Ranger can deliver.

PS: Personnly, I think this out to be titled, "Rancher's Son," but I'm just passing on the title the way I found it. Enjoy, it's a good story in the vain of the good old early stories of the program.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Dan Goes To Jail. 430405. A fiery horse at the speed of light, and a hearty Heigh-ho Silver! The Lone Ranger rides again! Nowhere in the pages of history can one find a better champion of justice.

The sheriff goes to call on Mrs Purdy to talk to her boy, Joe. The sheriff beats around the bush, but has plenty of circumstantial evidence that Joe robbed a safe, and killed a man. Meanwhile, an evil genius named El Mundo sits in his hideout, talking to his mysterious sister about the Lone Ranger. He shares his plan to take over the Purdy ranch, but it's just the beginning, he has plans to become king. The softspoken mastermind shares his plans for his power and empire.

Meanwhile, the sheriff talks with his deputy over Joe being locked up, and doesn't think he actually is guilty. Lone Ranger comes to talk to him about the recent activities of El Mundo. If El Mundo isn't stopped, he'll own the West. With the help of the Lone Ranger, Joe is broken out of jail, and Dan is left in his place. A plan is in the works, and as the story develops, the plan is vaguely hinted at, but the help of tonight's cast is needed.

El Mundo needs the Purdy ranch, and a trap is set to both clear Joe, and try to capture El Mundo. Is it already too late? Has Myra, the sister to El Mundo, already moved in? Is the Lone Ranger in danger of being poisoned, and falling victim to El Mundo? Dan may be in trouble back at the jail, and the sheriff comes to get the Lone Ranger's help.

Fortunately, Dan has already played a switch on El Mundo, and done his own investigating, and explains the mystery of Joe's false accusation, and how he has been cleared.

Suddenly the forces of El Mundo come racing towards town for a shoot out. The Lone Ranger and Dan make a narrow escape, and El Mundos plans are foiled, for now.

Note: I like the episodes that include Dan Reed with the Lone Ranger and Tonto team. They add an extra element to the heroic adventure. I don't mind the shows that continue from episode to episode, but this El Mundo character, and the recent Tarantulal gang run of shows just seem to push the boundaries of what was real in the days of the old West. Not my favorites, and just wierd.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Lone Ranger - Masked Mans Fists. 411217 A powerful secret legion, the Black Arrow, has sprung up in the Western United States, and the Lone Ranger is being put to the test.

The Black Arrow has battled an Army unit so they can capture their uniforms and equipment so they can impersonate a troop of soldiers. Tonto and the Lone Ranger are to meet up with the Captain of the troop to join forces at defeating the head of the Black Arrow. Little does he know the troop he is about to find is a band of the enemy.

The Lone Ranger thinks he is to help guard a shipment of gold, while the Black Arrow plans to steal it. Will this be the big set up that might lead to the death of the Lone Ranger? Will the theft go down as planned? Will the Lone Ranger somehow be tipped off?

It's looking like the Lone Ranger will be drawn into taking part in the gold robbery whether he knows it or not. His efforts to uncover the head of the Black Arrow are beginning to look bleak.

When the report comes that the Lone Ranger has been shot and captured, is all hope gone? It may take some ouside help. Or will it?

Listen in to the exciting adventure that awaits in the conclusion of today's episode.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Johnny Dollar - Milford Brooks III Audition. 481207 The audition show for this long running, popular series. Johnny Dollar was a different kind of detective. He was actually a freelance investigator for insurance companies. He was always on the go to make sure insurance claims were valid.

Today he is checking into the matter of Milfred Brooks. Mr Brooks is a man claiming to be suicidal, and if he goes through with it, the insurance company could be out millions. Why is he suicidal? The mob is after him.

Johnny's mission is to keep him alive. to do so, Johnny drags the rich man along with him. He gets to the root of the problem. This won't cramp Johnnies swanky, sophistocated style will it?

When Milfred turns up missing, Johnny touches base with the cops. No bodies yet, just the man;'s coat left on a ferry. The hunt is on. Johnny makes a tour of the night club scene, and tracks down the guy who stands to gain from the insurance policy. Details unfold, and the key players find themselves in an abandoned warehouse. Hey, where else would it be?

The mystery is told, even the twist ending. Now all that's left is to turn the bad guys over to the cops. But what about Johnny's client, the insurance company? He explains it all in his expense account.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Mr Keen - The Case Of Murder With A Thousand Witnesses. 490929 The cheerful atmosphere at the county fair is marred when the judge of the baking contest dies of poisning, and from a cake that his own wife baked.

The maid, also one who entered the contest, goes to Mr Keen. The suspected woman has fled, and the maid wants her found. The maid is jealous of the young bride, and shares secrets of the household with Mr Keen. Might it be a case of the maid doing the poisoning, and letting the wife take the fall? Mr Keen sets out to figure it out.

All the points of the law are against the wife, and there's nothing on the maid other than circumstantial evidence. The first step is to find the wife, and get her side of the story. As she explains things, Mr Keen has a plan to trap the killer.

With all the key players gathered together, the killer cracks, and shows their hand. .

As is typical, Mr Keen tells the true story of the crime in the end. Listen, and find out how it was done, who did it, and why.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Gunsmoke - The Patsy. 541030 On the streets of Dodge, a man is gunned down. The upset brother can't think of any enemies who would want his brother dead, but just wants Matt to get the killer. Matt and Chester get a visit from Kitty, who has a clue from a young lady who was with the man when he was killed.

Matt has his hands full when he rides to the hostile cowboy camp to get the killer. Fly Hoyt may be a rough, crude, hardcase of a cowboy, but claims to be no liar or killer. Matt gives him a chance to prove himself, and takes him back to Dodge so he can clear his name.

Who is the liar here? The hard cowboy, or the timid young lady? There's a set up happening, but when the lady is shot, the circumstances look bad for Fly Hoyt. Matt has his own ideas, and still refuses to arrest the cowboy.

This shouldn't be a difficult mystery to figure out, but why did the killer do it the way he did? Why did he do the killing at all? Matt pulls a little set up of his own for some rough justice.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Doc comes into the jail, demanding a shotgun to do some quail hunting. Followed on his heels is a man calling himself Doley. After a night of drunkenness that he can't remember,he claims to have killed a man and is now turning himself into Matt. There hasn't been a body reported yet, and Matt can see the man's remorse, and suspects his innocence.

To humor him, Matt locks him up while he and Chester set out to investigate. Matt sets the young buffalo hunter free when the body is finally turned up. The cause of death doesn't match Doly's description of his alleged commission of murder. Using the circumstance, Matt sets a trap for the real killer.

It's a waiting game as Matt lets the town, and Dooley, keep thinking what they want about Dooley's guilt in the murder. When the town shuns Dooley, Matt gives him a place to stay, and lay low while he keeps waiting for curiosity to seep into the mind of the real killer. How long will this take? Will it even work? Matt decides to speed things up a little by laying on the pressure for the man who did the killing, and frame up Dooley.

Before it's all over, things take a little plot twist.</itunes:summary>

The harrassed man finally recovers enough to head to town and report the incident to Matt. Will the two hardcases come back? If they do, they will have to worry about Matt looking for them.

Before Matt can find the bad guys, love finds Old Obie. Matt smells a set up, but he can't talk sense to Obie. The bad guys seem to believe Obie has hidden gold, but what will they do when they find out he is as poor as he lets on? What kind of things are going on around Dodge? See if you can solve this old west mystery. The secrets don't stop until the very end.</itunes:summary>
