Facing civil war, the king refuses a petition to listen to Cardinal Richelieu, a political figure that the king sees as his rival. Can war be prevented? Will the Cardinal's plan diffuse political tensions?

The king demands ultimate authority over governing his realm, but the Cardinal demands to reign over the souls of the kingdom including the king's. Where religion and politics collide, which will win out? Using an age old ploy, a marriage might be arranged to blend political powers for a united front for the people.

Get ready for a mix of romance, and power struggle. Will it result in a murder to gain the upperhand? Consult your history books to find out, or just listen in to the tangled drama. Will the nation be spared from war when the top powers collide?</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>The scandal surrounding the trial of Captain Kidd is that he knows too much about ranking officials, and they would rather see him hanged. What kind of damaging testimony might he know? CBS reporters have turned up evidence that if
Captain Kidd is allowed to put off his hanging until the fleet arrives, he has testimony that could shock the authorities, and have officers removed from command. Other factions want to move to have justice carried out swiftly, a matter that would have Captain Kidd dead, and harmless before the fleet arrives.

As the courtroom debate rages on, the captain is taken to the gallows. At the gallows, a festive atmosphere reigns as was typical for public hangings of the time. CBS reporters share some of the customs surrounding such a surreal event.

Back in the court, Captain Kidd isn't without his supporters fighting for his freedom. Is he as innocent as they make him out to be? Has he been given the short end of the stick in his defense? If evidence has been withheld, why can't the court just throw the case out, or wait? It all boils down to a power struggle between political factions, and Captain Kidd is just one small human caught in the giant cogs of the machine.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>A tense and excited throng gather to see if the new government will be overthrown for a return to the previous one. Will the new Christian government win out over the ancient autocracy? It all seems to hinge on whether a Dominican monk can perform a miracle.

The Franciscan monks support the old regime, while the Dominicans support the new one. A challenge has been put forth to see which side will win. A monk from each side will literally have to run a gauntlet of flames, as CBS reporters point out, it's an ancient barbaric contest and not something founded in Christian teachings. So what will it really prove? A dramatic word picture unfolds as CBS reporters describe the scene of chanting monks with both flame and swords, marching to confront each other.

On another tack, the reporters interview some of the players to learn about the worth of the new government, and reports that it has been bad, and oppressive to the common man. Accusations are hurled, the emotions of the crowd runs high. Political posturing, and claims of being heretics, or antichrist are hurled. Isn't there anybody who can provide objective answers? Is this a demonstration of how not to let Christian ideals apply to civic government? Is it only a power struggle where corrupt religious leaders want the glory of men, and to impose their own ideas?

The main attraction remains the ordeal of the monks, and armed with only prayers and devotions, they prepare themselves. CBS reporters give a ringside, blow by blow account of the trial by fire. Who will emerge unscathed? What if they both die in the fire? What if they both survive? Stand by for the surprise ending, and what it means for the future of the Florentine government.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In the last episode Flash has reconciled with Dale, and Kahn is prepared to fight to the finish with the General.

Queen Azura has relinquished her realm to Flash, but first they need to take the General out of control. In Kahn's death battle with the General, it looks like curtains for Kahn. Troublesome word reaches the ears of the General by a soldier who reports that Dale and Flash are still alive. The General sends out a patrol to bring in the head of Flash Gordon.

Azura intercepts General Tal's troops. Is the rest of the Army still loyal to her, or not? The report of Kahn's death reaches Flash. With the intelligence report he just recieved, Flash makes a plan to sneak into the palace and overthrow the Genral. The General gets some more disturbing news, but he is easily dispatched by Flash. As he and Azura make plans for the kingdom, things are looking rosy. Flash and Dale profess their love for each other.

Time goes by and Doc Zarkoff has built a new rocketship. They leave Azura in charge of the Cave World and prepare to blast off. They cruise alog at the breakneck speed of 500 MPH when all of a sudden a wierd siren goes off. What can it be? Space cops pulling them over for speeding? Nope, the spaceship is hurling out of control for a chrash landing on the earth.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In our last episode we have found Zarkof, Dale, and Kahn breaking through the door to the Deth Dwarves, only to find Flash in the arms of Azura, and in a passionate embrace. Dale is jealous at the scene, but can't understand that they thought they were about to die. She won't believe Flash when he claims that he had been telling Azura that Dale is the only true love for him. Yeah right, no wonder Flash and Dale have a classic lovers spat.

Will she come around to his way of thinking? Can Flash count on Azura to tell the truth? Even if she does, will Dale believe her? Meanwhile, The General is enjoying a tour of his recently acquired palace. He inspects the troops and weaponry, and all seems well. Suddenly a man is seen running from the hills. It's Kahn and though the General doesn't know how he escaped, he plans on tossing him back in prison.

The two men meet alone on the battlefield outside the palace and prepare to duke it out. Kahn's terms are to fight the General with bare hands and the best man in the fight to the finish wins control over the kingdom.

Elsewhere Flash, Dale, and Azura make their way back. Dale wants to give up the adventures and return to the earth. Can you blame her? She has only narrowly missed being the bride of every king in the realm. Kidnapped, been subject to mind control, treated like a slave by Flash, and I think she has just about had enough.

Being so close to success, Flash wants to be king of his Cave world. Just then, a troop of the Army rides up, but Azura takes control of them.

So, what's it going to be? Azura returning to power? Turning the kingdom over to Flash? Will the general allow himself to step back down? Power struggles lay under the surface, so stay tuned to see how all the posturing works out.</itunes:summary>
