Jingles enjoys his ride across the plains in the seat of a stage coach. It’s a nice change of pace for him, but Bill reminds him of the serious responsibility they have of guarding their shipment of gold. Bandits along the way are handled easily enough, but the real danger awaits Bill and Jingles at their destination.
The anticipated peaceful stay at the Sunset Ranch is brought to a stop when trouble for Jingles and Bill breaks out. When old AJ Morigan arrives at the ranch, things are looking bad when the crew try to push Bill and Jingles off the place. What kind of danger is the old guy in?
The listener is privvy to the scheme for the ranch forman to be the sole beneficiary of old AJ’s will, but if signing it means a death warrant for the old man, his days are numbered. Bill hasn’t been pushed aside so easily though, and has been watching things. It’ll still take some tricky gunplay before the lid can be blown off of this dirty deal.
