the Silver Star is once again missing, and it’s the Bad Dolls who took it. Santa prevents our heros from running after the dolls, because he has his own ways of resolving the matter. With Santa handling the Silver Star situation, Jim, Judy, and Cinnamon Bear get to do more exploring in Santa’s workshops. Finally, word comes in about the Silver Star. Matters take another turn for the worse again.
Our gruesomely punny host presents a newspaper story. A story of a man, the doll of a dead girl, and the devil. How did such a scene come to be? The man, a reporter for the newspaper goes into flashback sequence to fill in the details.
Ten days earlier, the reporter visited the morgue about a story of a young woman who was murdered, and was brought in still clutching a doll. The cops don’t think it’s a murder, but the editor lets the reporter investigate.
Questions explode in the reporters head. If only the doll could talk. Suddenly, it does. Obsessed with the case, and on a long walk to clear his head, he meets the man who made the doll. Secrets are revealed, but are they secrets that should be left alone? What connection does this dollmaker and painter have with the girl, and with the devil?
The reporter thinks the devil in question is more natural than supernatural, and has a trap to spring. . He uses himself for the bait, but has he bitten off more than he can chew?
Well, that’s where the story began. The twist ending will reveal the answers, but I won’t.
After their brush with danger, our heros are at the hospital discussing the case thus far, and the explosives that did so much damage. Lois is missing again. Perry White and Clark Kent visit the injured policeman who was with Lois, to try to learn where Hans went with her.
What can they learn about the high explosives hidden in the dolls. They are clearly being smuggled, but where is their shipping contact? Enough clues have emerged to give Clark and Perry some direction. On the fog covered dock, Clark turns into Superman to find the thugs that he’s looking for, and make short work of them. Our heros close in further when Clark and Perry locate the island where Hans is hiding.
What will Hans and his thugs do with Lois when they learn how close Clark is getting to the secret hideout? Hurry Superman! Hurry!

At a doll shop near the Pentagon, a little girl and her mom do some window shopping. When daddy stops along to meet them, the small, life like dolls are just too precious to pass up. As dad runs off on another errand, Mr Perigi shows off his animated, talking dolls with artificial intelligence. A sale is made, but when Toto the doll is brought home, the family dog changes from a gentle little pup to a growling beast who takes offense at the new doll.
Strange things begin to happen at home. Hateful and murderous things. Mom and dad just don’t believe her when Cindy claims to have nothing to do with the occurances. How can a doll be to blame? Emotions run high, and get worse when secret papers from the Pentagon are found missing. The doll and the girl are at the center of the upsetting events, but dad still won’t believe that little Cindy is innocent. Logic dictates that the girl may need psychiatric help.
The frustrated dad takes the doll back to the shop, but will that be the end of the rash of problems? Perigi has the missing strong box with papers, and a situation of blackmail is in the open. What’s really going on here?
Will dad stand for the threats? Hasty action is taken, but when dad realizes the real secret of the doll, will anybody believe him?
