A phenomenon of days gone by is the ritual of selling Christmas cards in the middle of Summer. Vic and Russel discuss Sade’s exploits of her attempt at earning a little extra spending money by selling cards. We learn about some of her competition, other townsfolk with the same idea and hitting up everybody they can think of for another sale.
As he talks to Vic, Russel has hardly scratched the surface of Sade’s high pressure sales day. Vic hangs on every word as more details emerge. Watch out, tragedy awaits for the listener, and Vic as the story of how Russel was the straw that broke the camels back is told.
