Pearls have been stolen, and Faraday is on hand to shake Blackie down. A phone call from Shorty comes in, but how will it affect Blackie and his strip search by Faraday? With tthe heads up, Blackie narrowly misses being framed with the Worthington pearls in his pocket. Not only the cops, but about every gangster in town is also looking for them.
Blackie has his handds full in dodging the crooks, and faraday as well. Will he share what he has learned withthe cops? When a body shows up on the floor in Blackies apartment, of course Blackie is Faraday’s prime, and one and only suspect.
It doesn’t help when a gangster shows up and frescues Blackie. He and Shorty find themselves with matching thumps on the head, and tied up in a farmhouse. All he has to do is turn over the pearls, but Blackie hid them in Faradays office. Will the gangster be able to swipe them in plain sight of the cops? Blackie offers some pointers, but the angle to gain trust may end up being a tip off to the cops. Blackie and Shorty are still in danger, but how will they get out of that?
