<itunes:summary>Blair - The Cedar Lake Mystery. ep7, 380314.

A city couple and a friend vacation in the woods. Through a conversation with MacGregor, an innkeeper, they are warned about common courtesies of the woods, and not crossing paths with the law. Canadians take their natural conservation seriously.

The husband enjoys the outdoors, but his wife and companion strike Blair as spoiled city folk. Concerned that something fishy might be going on, he has his Indian friend Joe check on them. The plot thickens, as the story unfolds. The listener is privvy to the plans that the wife and the companion develop to kill her husband for the insurance money. They seem to have given Joe the slip, and see their big chance.

Have they committed the perfect crime? To blow a little smoke, they play the indignant role with Inspector Blair. Blair holds some secrets of his own, that expose the murder, or actually an attempt at murder, to give the bad guys what they deserve.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Blair of the Mounties - Fire Valley. 380131.

Today's episode is a short one, so there's a few added bonus tracks to round things out. Watch the home page for more of Blair, and his adventures on the Royal Mounted Police Force. I'll run the whole series on the dates they actually appeared way back in 1938.

In this first episode, a wealthy Brittish woman has a dream about her son being kidnapped, and an image of where he might be. She goes to Canada to Blair with her story. The indian assistant, Joe, warns it off as a bad place.

After giving him a hard time, Joe takes Blair there. The local indians believed that a sacrifice of a white man would appease the bad spirits. Blair, and the help of a local indian maid rescue the kidnapped man just in time.

Bonus Tracks:
Incredible but True. Water Water Everywhere. A story about a shipboard fire, abandoning shipand a mysterious supply of fresh water.
Charles King. 1929. Happy Days are Here Again.</itunes:summary>
