Boarding the bus on a bright, sunny morning, Miss Brooks can't help but feel chatty. At school though, Conklin is faced with a problem when Miss Enright wants to leave her job to be married. Will the principle be over stepping his bounds to ask Miss Brooks to let Miss Enright have a fair shot at Mr Boynton, and thus entice her to stay on? A new story emerges once Connie has a talk with her rival for the hand of Mr Boynton.

Connie Brooks complains to Mrs Davis about her car troubles before Walter arrives for her ride to school. Walter tells about his project, a hand built radio. With the rainy weather, Mr Conklin is in a grumpy mood. Is he ever in a good one? At school, Connnie drops off Walters radio in the science lab. In the process, she gets a lesson on the environment, and an early warning from Mr Boynton that the global climate is changing.

The case of contradictions gets a big start with the changing weather. A dame needs to hire Sam in regards to her fiancee, Ben Comiski. He is being held in jail for robbery. The evidence is going against him, but Ben doesn't look the part of a common thief. Is he responsible for a rash of robberies, or just taking the fall for someone?

Halls Of Ivy – The Gangsters Son. 500120.

A man with a problem comes to Doc Hall for help. William Conrad is a gangster who explains his business to the doc, and wants to make sure his son gets a square deal at Ivy. What kind of favors or privileges does the gangster expect? Doc Hall can't be bought off, and assures that the gangster's son will have all the same opportunities extended to him, but no favors.

Our Miss Brooks – Cure That Habit. 500115.

With last Friday being the 13th, Connie and Mrs Davis talk about superstitions. To top it off, Minirva came home with two black kittens. The dippy landlady has a concoction for Connie to give to Mr Conklin to cure a case of hiccups. Walter pops in to take Connie to school, and talks about an ad he saw for an alcoholism cure. A product that he ordered, then had sent to Mr Conklins house as a prank.

The Halls try to relax at home, when a telephone call brings news of a visit from the Chairman of the Board. Is the colleague of Doc Hall trying to dethrone him from his position? Virginia tries to comfort him with a story of a personal flop of her own from her acting days. The visit from Mr Wellman is about a sharp editorial that appeared in the school newspaper. Doc Hall needs to see what is behind the printed outburst.
