Our Miss Brooks – A Suit for Charity. ep109, 501217

A last moment clothing drive is organized, and Connie Brooks tells her landlady, Mrs Davis about the plan. Connie does the favor of holding shopping money for Mrs Davis, promising to pick up some last minute gifts for her. At school, she manages to get volunteered to do shopping for everyone she meets, and holds their money.

Clothes are gathered, as Connie chats with Mr Boynton. For safe keeping, Connie places the envelope of cash into the pocket of Mr Conklins donated suit while she takes care of stitching up some holes in Boynton pockets in the Home Economics lab.

Finding the clothes, and cash gone, Connie sets about to track them down, and talks with Mr Conklin. Holding to a charitable ethic, Conklin refuses to recall the delivery of clothes, and won’t hear any excuse… until his wife tells him she left valuable pearls in the pocket of his donated jacket.

Racing to the distribution point, its too late. Connie, Boynton, and Conklin spot the suit. Can they convince the man wearing it to exchange it back to them? Will Connie get her money? Will Conklin get back his jewelry? Only after some desperate measures.
