The bad lands are a hiding place for some of the meanest snakes in the country. Gunshots stop Bill and Jingles in their tracks to call them into a meeting with a local caballero. Showing off his own gunmanship, Bill is allowed to meet the baron of these local badlands. Danger awaits where other lawmen have ventured, and not come out alive.
In the great hall of the casa, Jingles paces the floor. The baron, señor Smith, extends a welcome to the lawmen. Though Jingles feels undressed without his guns, he and Bill give them up. Hostilities soon explode to reveal the true intent of the baron, and our heroes find themselves locked in the cellar with the missing sheriff. Is all hope lost, or does Bill have a plan for getting out? With a jail made of wood, instead of iron, a fire is enough to break Bill out.
What has Bill found in the other room? The baron has a stockpile of military weapons and ammunition. Gunplay soon breaks out, but with the shift in control, the baron faces mutiny among his men.
