Lum and Abner – Abner In Trouble For Stealing the Note. 431209

We learn about Abner’s failed attempt at swiping his letter back. Questions are raised as to how quickly uncle Henry was on the scene to arrest Abner. Plus, with all the extra stolen goods found in his pockets, one might think Abner was a pack rat, or a kleptomaniac.

Grandpap even feeds Abner’s confusions and doubts that he’s a thief, and doesn’t know it. Is the peninintentry in his future? How will ye ever face Lum if things came up stolen from the store?

When Lum arrives, he tells how he got to the county seat, since Cedric’s car never made it out of the city limits. Lawyer Diogenes, claims they should have a good chance of winning since Squire’s back injury is doubtful. It also helps the gents have no record of thievery, or breaking into houses, or stealing… um… just wait until he hears about Abner’s latest adventures.
