Abbott and Costello – Lou Goes To Jail. ep71, 441019

A letter for Lou arrives from a relative in the military. He writes about requests for money, the guardhouse, and working on the farm. A creative math lesson confuses Lou. Bud’s math is turned around on him by Lou for his own crazy figuring to evenly divide 100. Maybe a word problem would clarify things? Where would a 40 year old Lou end up if he were dating a 10 year old girl? Well, assuming he wasn’t in the mountains. How long will it take for the girl to be the same age as Lou? Or will she eventually be older?

Freddie Rich plays, I’ll Be Seeing You.
Going down town, Bud takes Lou to put his $75 back into the bank. A traffic mishap gets Lou into trouble with a motorcycle cop. Bud’s comments only dig a deeper hole for Lou. Mr Kitzel comes by to offer services as a lawyer. Jokes about law, lawyers, and legal matters abound. Connie Haines sings, Is You Is, or Is You Ain’t My Baby.

In the courtroom, where jokes return to math as legal one liners explode. Judge Mel Blanc reads the charges, then presents evidence, and witnesses, to the tune of Lou’s objections, and more. Sebastian is called on, but will the bad boy, and unruly brat help? Ad libs appear when places are lost in scripts, and Lou is challenged to stay in character as he has a conversation with himself as Sebastian.
