A bounty hunter breezes into Dodge, and enlists the help of Matt to arrest a man on the run. The man is Hank Springer, recently wounded in a gunfight in Dodge, and on the mend. An agreement is made to not hold the man in handcuffs, and besides, doc won’t allow him to travel until he has a few more days to recover. Sounds like and ideal situation for Hank to flee. Will he have to be detained in cuffs anyway?
Meanwhile, Matt offers Kitty some tips on horse trading. A worried Chester reports the bounty hunter is dead, and Hank Springer is on the run. If Hank had been in the frying pan, he just jumped, and Matt Dillon is the fire. It won’t be hard to track him with the trail of bodies he leaves behind, but can he be stopped before the trail becomes a highway?
