Vic and Sade – A Collection of Personal Treasures. 440710

Desperate for a little gaming stimulation, Vic draws Sade into a checker game. She seems on the defensive at Vic’s patronizing way of reminding her of the basic rules of the game. When Russel gets home the damage has been done, and no amount of Vic’s sweet talk will lure Sade back into the game where she mighht get her head bit off, or treated like a half wit.

Coming home early from the picture show, Russel has a collection of personal, and sentimental treasures from a friend. The household odds and ends with no other significant meaning are explained by him.

PS: As often as Sade and Vic play cards with the Stembottoms, you’d think Sade would be better at games. In a recent episode before this, Sade couldn’t focus on playing Rummy as she shared town gossip. Today, she doesn’t grasp a simple game like checkers. With a game as complicated as 500 is, I’m amazed she plays it well, or even enjoys it at all. It must be the close conversation with Ruthie and Fred, and the ice cream they put away that keeps her coming back for more.
